1st,yes yes, we are such evil persons...
we tried synchdropping with 2x 3man groups...
thing that i realized was, that appearently all prayers have been heard, and the MM balances out premade groups...
6 out of 6 successful tries (means playing in the same match) dropped both groups in opposing teams...
a little often for a coincisdence if you ask me...
how about you, did you make similar experiences?

The matchmaker is helping make the games more balanced but I think we are still seeing huge gaps in ELO values of players it pulls in. I have been in several of my last games with people on the top 10 leaderboard (I have the page on my second monitor). These players on the leader board have win rates of 80-95%. I can tell since they are shown as having 150 wins 22 losses just in the tournament alone. My ELO is nowhere near this, its just not possible. I almost always pug and have a win rate of 40% or so.
I think this is why we are still seeing a lot of shut out games, my guess is the match maker is balancing the ELO for both teams but has a huge band. This is understandable since the queue time is around 10 seconds. The match maker on league of legends for instance takes around 2 min to assemble a game and that is with a player base of 1 million active players online.

Not likely. At least there is no information about matchmaker taking premades into account. If you end up on different sides of a match it is likely that the matchmaker found you to be similar in weight classes and Elo rating.
I'd like premades to be first most matched with another premade but I do not think there is any specific mechanism for it yet.
