Had the same issues.

Turned off my antivirus and firewall for a few minutes (not recommending it, do at own risk)..but that fixed my problems with it.

Whenever I attempt to run it (And I've been sure to try the fixes) I get an error message that says Message: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object. This continues until it 'finishes' the profiling and I get these blank results:

OS Version:
System RAM:
CPU Name:
CPU Speeds:
Physical CPUs:
Virtual CPUs:
Video Card Description:
VRAM:
Primary Display Resolution:
Multi-Monitor Desktop Resolution:
Microphone: False
Language:
Free Hard Drive Space:
Total Hard Drive Space:
Windows Experience Index Rating:

Once again, I've tried the fixes and nothing seems to have worked.

One, because I checked all the other topics. Nothing like this. Two, what part of "I've tried the other fixes" did you miss? And three, because I would certainly love an answer that hasn't already been said.

Alright, as nothing I've done has fixed this, I've just gone and put in my own things.

Hello,

I've spent the last 2 hours trying different solutions to the system profiler crashes, none have worked for me, this is the error I get everytime I run it:

"
************** Exception Text **************
System.Xml.XmlException: '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1.
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(String res, String[] args)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ThrowInvalidChar(Char[] data, Int32 length, Int32 invCharPos)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ParseRootLevelWhitespace()
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ParseDocumentContent()
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Read()
at System.Xml.Linq.XDocument.Load(XmlReader reader, LoadOptions options)
at System.Xml.Linq.XDocument.Load(String uri, LoadOptions options)
at ROM.frmMain.bw_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e)
at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e)
at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument)
"

I'd appreciate any help because I adore mechwarrior and contributed a lot to the mw2 mercs community back in the 90's and would love to jump in and try out the new game but this system profiler is preventing me from even applying to the beta :\

Please submit whatever the profiler outputs into the beta system profile box.

If a redownload of the System profile is not successfully, please check your .net installation and disable any firewalls, anti-viruses, anti-malware software when running the tool to get an accurate profile.
