With this logic you fail since your "7 man of lone wolves" got pwned.

Good point considering just right under him is a regular Cent.

P2W is a paying for a distinct advantage that is unabtainable without paying.

Hero mechs are a varient of exisiting mechs that have slightly different hardpoints. Which often are worse/more limiting than the normal varients.

Those hardpoints are filled with weapons available to ALL mechs/players for no money.

The hero mechs do not get extra damaging weapons or anything. They are bound by the same weight and critical slot limitations as any other mech. The only difference is a hardpoint layout (which to me will never be a OP) and gaining some more Cbills (also not a combat advantage.)

So I still haven't seen any P2W mechanic in this game yet.

Correlation isn't causation. The game isn't pay to win, however people that pay are on average more dedicated players (that's why they are willing to spend money), and dedicated players often do better (go figure). Their are plenty of absolutely awesome players that haven't spend a dime, but if your playing so much that you are becoming top tier then a hero mech which gives you a c-bill bonus starts to make sense. Some of the hero mechs are arguably slightly better (and some worse), but its very debatable so I would hardly call it pay to win.

The thing is that bought mechs have unique load outs not avalible to other players. If a mech can run 4 UAC5's and no other variant can, than it is P2W.

Funny, just last night, I made a new account and ran trial mechs in the ghetto. I was regularly beating so called "pay to win" mechs with the trial K2 and the Atlas D. After every kill i would type Trial Mechs ***** (yeah a little uncalled for). Care to guess what happened there?

To win at MWO is simple. Uninstall and go do something else.

Pretty sad that feeding the troll is more fun than playing the game...

You need statistical significance before you can claim it.

http://en.wikipedia....al_significance

In which case a few hundred... possibly thousand matches with similar variables (Paid v. unpaid mechs) with similar skilled players.

After that you need to double check correlation.

Get some maths to back up the facts.

If your going to claim P2W is done with hero mechs, might I suggest you start somewhere else, like S2W (Splat to Win), I mean, a splatcat having 6Srm 6's coming at you, from afar, I wouldnt be surprised if you just stood still, shooting at the harmless light that's been running in circles, noticed the CTP-A1 coming towards you, and thought: "I can take care of him any time, just give me two seconds" only to constantly miss, and not even use your lock-on's.

Yes there are people who have done this, I've seen them, and *insert Fry's beedy eyes pic* wouldnt be surprised if the OP is one too.

Ok, I think I went off topic from what I originally meant to post... but don't wanna delete what's above... hold on. Think I got it now. Basically there are mechs, many mechs, that can out damage, or out perform, just about any mech, including hero mechs. One of the most infamous mech builds (this will be for example) is the Splat cat. No hero mechs come to mind that can out damage a splat cat in a few seconds of direct confrontation, atleast, not without hurting it's performance to a level that it would be slower then a splat cat. You in fact just dont WANT to do a direct confrontation to a splat cat, atleast up close. Just kill the thing from afar, and here's a little known fact. ANY MECH HAS THE POTENTIAL TO KILL AT LONG RANGE. Well... maybe not all mechs if you count trial ones.

Was that the point I wanted... meh
