I could very easily post a screen of my Trebuchet 7M getting over 800 damage, and what will that prove? That free mechs are overpowered? The guy did well, and all that dakka from his 3 ballistic slots helped get the killing blow on multiple enemies. Ultimately it means little.

Also, pretty baby on your team did very badly, and the next guy on the enemy team was less than 10 damage behind the Ilya.

There is nothing that "paying" gets you that cannot be earned through time. Hero mechs give you some better equipment than some of the base builds, a groovy paint job and an earning bonus.

Starting from scratch and not buying any MC is a hard grind but not impossible. If no one throws these guys a few bucks there is no freebies......so technically other people are paying for you to play.

well as much as i can see, the hero mech dealt 9 damage more than it´s "CBill" variant on place 2... considering the Kills/ assists i´d say there was about 1700 damage dealt to the 5 mechs SilentWolf got the killshots on...

Megahard...just p+++ed that you didn´t get the killshots? ^^

there is NO proof for p2win in that picture...

I stopped reading there, because it is already solid and undenyable proof that the hero mech is considerably better and thus that MWO is pay to win!

If even such a prominent and well respected member of the forum like you admits to this by providing such an incoruptable interpretation of said picture, then everybody should willingly agree to and accept the sad fact.

It humors me that people think hero mechs are somehow a cut above the rest. I mean, they have interesting configurations and I LOVE the unique paint jobs. The look of flame made me paint all my non-founder's or hero mechs(all two of them >_> ) in red and blue

That said, it's no more difficult to kill or be killed in a hero mech. Even going against one is just as easy as going against anyone else...and right now, you're going to see a LOT of people with hero mechs. If there's hero mechs on the enemy team and hero mechs on YOUR team, how is it always that hero mechs are overpowered? It just makes no sense!
