The Tournament Point Ranking System Is Rediculous....

In a summary this is what I'm saying for those that don't want to read the explanations. Players are being rewarded for playing bad. Players are suicide dropping into games to get points even though they don't do hardly anything for the team, they are getting points for flat out losing games and in turn the more games they play the more points they get which is really pathetic. Players are somehow pulling an inhuman amount of points from a small amount of matches; i still don't know how they did it seeing as 1. I've never seen him and 2. What I've heard of him is along the lines of "decent most of the time". How in the hell are players being rewarded with more points than players that have an immensely better Win/Loss and K/D/A ratio and in turn "Being rewarded for being bad.". Come on PGI.... excuse my language but what the hell is this crap?
After playing for about... 36+ hours of Mechwarrior using nothing but my Atlas's and an Awesome 9M, I am left with nothing but wonder at the amount of wrong I'm seeing in the assault leaderboard. On the first day I pulled an average of 800 damage a match with at least 3 kills a match, I had 150 games won and less than 50 lost and yet someone that had only 100 games won and 70 games lost was in front of me by about 20 points. On the Second day this same person was still playing like I was but was now pulling an average of what must be about 4 points "PER MATCH" not per 15 minute interval... per match. He right now has a fewer amount of games won even still and A LOT more games lost than I have and I simply wonder to myself... "How can a person that I have NEVER (not once have I ever seen him in game) seen in game, be averaging so many points. SO! I tried some other tactics, I tried base rushing, I tried tag assisting/missile boating (that didn't last long I can tell you that much), and just playing like I always do, getting 5 kills a game and pulling 1000 damage in most matches, on Conquest and Assault nothing I could do could even keep up with this guy and I am only left to wonder how.
The other thing that is extremely agitating to me is the fact that players like Villz and Tehone are doing 2 things, they are dropping into a match, running into the enemy team, doing what damage they can, Dying, quitting the match, and doing it again with another mech to get points and as a result have an extremely high amount of games played for sucking. The other thing they do is wait for the entire battle to be over on conquest and then come in and mop up about 4 kills on mechs that can hardly stand, yeah, that's a lot of fun.
Once again PGI..... what the hell, do something about this for the sake of the good players trying to actually win with skill.

He is obviously doing more in his matches than you are.
Also for the record Khobai is quite good, when we group drop we often end up in the OMG HEADSHOTED zone.
Rest assured Villz and Tehone will not be #1 Khobai will not FAIL!

The real purpose of this tournament was to force all the try hard premade players (like myself) to go solo drop endlessly in the efforts of refining the ELO system.
Of course, since were not your average panda most didn't bother/stopped early due to highly selfish reasons. Ie: I have better things to do...

i expect they will learn from this and make a competition that is more open and less prone to abuse next time. and then you can get your banner

I played with the #1 Combined many times, he always played straight up from what I saw. Played to win, usually one of the last left alive even on a losing cause. I watched him play, what I learned is that he is better than me.
I played with several of the top guys through the weekend. I found most to just be better players than myself, with the addition of just grinding like crazy.
My goal was a top 100, looks like I will be under 70 in the meds and Score/Games greater than 1. I didnt make the second part, oh well.

i didn't even opt in. i enjoy sleep far too much to grind as hard as the winners. and for that, i'll have to do without a shiny banner that i'll never see unless i free look around

There are a good number of talented players out there. It would have been less monotonous if it was 100% 1v1 skill based. But we were serving the greater good. Besides it was nice to play alongside most RHOD players for a change instead of fighting them tooth and nail.
To those that stuck it out I commend you. Broceratops however, you fought dirty and tried to make us think you were fed up... lol

Then explain how we have the same relative number of matches but my score is so much higher. Obviously its's because I get much higher match scores. The reason I get much higher match scores is because I'm a better player. It's that simple.
[Khobai]
593 points
240 wins
179 loss
419 total games
593 / 419 = 1.41 points per game
[Crybaby Rykoo]
449 points
262 wins
152 loses
414 total games
449 / 414 = 1.08 points per game
Rykoo is only getting ~75% the points that I do per game on average.

The sad thing is....your wrong he is not good, he is barely average. And its funny because they think that they are these badasses because they are on a leaderboard, a leaderboard that is not skill based. Khobai has a W/L of 1.3, Rykoo 1.7, allready better there. This tourney has nothing to do with skill, those who win are just proving they have no life. Zakai Chan and MetalSlug have it right, one of the light pilots is using three other people just to stay on top, its all a matter of how many matches you drop in. But have no fear the little Ego boost it gives the winners will die shortly after the tourney ends. And dont forget, all you "winners" out there, you just spent an entire weekend grinding for a banner NO ONE will ever see XD, and every time you die to a mech of the same class is just more proof that you did not deserve it. The ELO is a fail, the tourney is not a tourney but a guid to who doesnt have a life. All in all i salute you fine mechwarriors, i hope you enjoyed your sexless friendless tournament of BS XD

W/L is meaningless in solo drops, Hell when I was doing my thing in my comando during my limited playtime this weekend I lost conquest games where I killed 4 enemy mechs and had 600+ damage, and was the only guy on my team capping bases.
One of the last games I played ended 725-751 (loss) I was the last guy on my team alive. I recapped 4 bases and I killed 3 enemy mechs as the last man standing, the first a completely fresh medium. I did more damage in a commando than anyone else on either team (just under double the next two guys on my team), and you would have me believe that the guy on the other team who died with 50 damage done in a stalker was a better player than me because he got a W and I got an L?
