Where is the information that tells me when the trial mech time period expires? and the info that would tell me that when the trial expires, so do the xp that were accumulated as well??? 17K plus GONE from just one of the mechs. I'm really pissed!

Because its no longer in your "garage", it rotated out. If it becomes a trial mech again, you would get the XP for it, if you buy the mech it was on, you will have the XP again.

The XP isn't gone...if you look under the pilot tree tab at all the mech trees, and find the old chassis, it should still say how much XP you have accumulated for that variant. You couldn't actually spend that XP even when it was a trial mech, you always needed to actually buy it to apply the XP.
If it actually says there is zero XP for that exact variant of the mech, and you are sure that you played games with it, then report it as a bug.

So you should be fine. Go for it. You never really LOSE XP unless you spend it.

Glad you're okay now, pilot. It sucks when you think your game ate your stuff.
