Hello there!

I suddenly cannot play anymore. The launcher just won´t start. I start the .exe, the MWO-logo pops up but after that the launcher doesn´t open. When I click on it again, it says that one isntace of the launcher is still running. According to Task Manager that is also true, but it just doesn´t show up? Any ideas?

yeah i have it some times too.
maybe the login server cant handle it.

Just patched and launched the mech lab.. working just fine for me. You might want to track down some of the other threads that explain how to remove 2 or 3 files to force the patcher to update some things? .. (note: one says to delete a version .dll, but that does a full reinstall, which I'm guessing you'd rather avoid as a first step).

I tried to edit my first post, but it won´t let me. I figured out something is horribly bugged out with the file hosters. I average around 1,2mb/sec download rate and I just double checked it. MW:O´s host is atm casually throwind a download rate of 0,5kb/sec to 1kb/sec [NO TYPO!!!] at me. I reinstalled and tried to install MW:O again but the setup won´t load and I found this in the bootstrap_patcher_log:

Look at the last three lines. 2 Minutes for 0,27mb. While test-downloads of my connection show that its all a-okay and just related to MW:O´s file hoster. And therefore the Launcher and Setup cannot fire up because they do not even get the minimum files in time.

i played today, its not that i havent patched the game.
i had lags so i restarted my pc and after that i cant login anymore.
like Brixx said, i start, the logo pops up and it disappears, then nothing more happens.
but the taskmanager shows that the process is running.
it just blocks me from starting the game.
it realy sucks that this happens to me when im hunting the scoreboard im rank 16 in heavy and cant play on =(

Thats because the patcher does not receive any files in time. I guess if you kept it running for hours straight, it would start. Seems to be a problem with the file hoster. Just try downloading the MWO-setup. It will download with only like 1kb/sec... Guess we have to wait until they sort things out.

I have the same problem here.
On a second computer, when I try to install, after running the installer and choosing launch, it just sits there until it gets bored then times out. Patcher logs similar to those posted.
On my primary computer, the client will manually close, then I have to restart the computer to launch the game. I have tried disabling firewall and security and running purely as admin. Nothing helps.

Oh and I tried downloading the patch zip file in my browser to load it in the temp folder manually, but it loads about 200 bytes and stalls.

i have that issue for a long time, i dont think they will fix it now =)

what do u think will be better, let it do its job or restart it often and be lucky?

It´s not related to the launcher itself, but their file-hoster I would assume. I guess you are not from Germany, so it cannot be related to problems of our providers. But maybe you can double-check if my assumption is correct by clicking on this link and downloading the file: http://mwomercs.com/game/download

If my assumption is correct this should also take ages to download despite being just 10mb in size.

i´m from germany, my download speed was 1,2MB/s

I get the same message. Over a week now despite 3 patch updates. Sucks.

Are you from Germany aswell? As kingade is from Germany just like me it might actually be a problem related to our location.

On a sidenote: My download rate is slowly increasing again hitting 40kb/sec again so actually "visible" progress concerning my download... still far away from what I had JUST YESTERDAY.

started CCleaner (dont knwo if it does matter)

I guess it was none of that. Because I did nothing of your steps above and its working for me again aswell.

I'm in the US actually. My Satellite TV provider recently added some hardware to my router to Wi-Fi connect all the TV's and I thought for sure that was it but now that I see it's happening all over I'm trying other things.

ok, same thing again today.
my fps drop, i quit the game and want to restart it, but the patcher isnt starting.
is this some kind of a banning thing cause i quit a game in progress??
or is it just a bug?
