I am not sure if we have covered this in past posts but do you know if "Solaris Arena" will be part of MW:O?

If so What kind of awards should there be?

I posted some of the stuff I have come up with but please feel free to add on to "the List".

Awards LVL 1 combat bracket (fresh meat Noobs ect..)

A small amount of C-bills.
A marker or tag for your mech (area rank maybe)
Ammo
A New weapons system. (Flamers, SRM's , Small Lasers)
Fame points to be used for discounts at shops and your house.

Awards LVL 2 combat bracket (The mech warriors)

A larger amount of C-bills
A marker or tag for your mech
A low level light mech
Ammo/New New weapons systems
Fame points to be used for discounts at shops and your house.
Low LvL Tech CASE, ECMs, pliot perks ans skills ect....

Awards LVL 3 combat bracket (The Vets and Pros)

A massive amount of C-bills
A marker or tag for your mech
A low level light mech or heavy mech
Ammo/New New weapons systems
Fame points to be used for discounts at shops and your house.
Low to med LvL Tech CASE, ECMs, pilot perks and skills ect...

Awards LVL 4 combat bracket (hard core gamers and Mechwarriors)

No more c bills its all fame points to spend at your house
A marker or tag for your mech
A light mech ,heavy mech or assault class mech
Top of the line Tech and skill/perks for your pilot
Top of the line weapons systems
you get you the girls....hula girls (sorry guys gotta keep it G rated)




Ps. Good on you if you get the Dire Straits reference. ( uggh I am so old..)

I think I'd rather see the weapon/equipment prizes replaced by prize tokens of some sort, giving some choice to the player about what kind of weapon/equipment/module they'd like to buy. Probably more cosmetic rewards as well and not only gear, since many players will have already geared up with their ideal build before submitting themselves to a tournament or competition!

Prize money could also be governed by a buy-in, players having to pay up an ante of C-bills depending on the tier

Always bet on the Urbanmech. Bookies seem to really look down on them and give crazy odds. You only have to win once with that kind of action =D

Well, I think there could be some gear for the lower level players, as the higher level ones are the ones who are more likely to not need the gear. This all depends on the cash flow they get before they get into the games, if everyone can afford their preferred load-out with minimal skill out of the games, then giving them gear will do them no good.

I have never did a Solaris campaign on the TT. But, I have heard that those Mech have some special abilities. I would not mind if a players received special reward for the mech they took through the Solaris arena. Something that was special and balanced.

Maybe they could choose something like a special weapon that did slightly more damge, But, sacraficed range. Or Jump Jets that let you travel farther, but, generated more Heat. Or even advance Tech but it would have a flaw.

I would love to see that as well. We also need Duncan Fisher in there for sure. It would also be nice to just have the death-match style matches anyway.

It's already got music . The original song is 'Money for Nothing' by dire straits. The lyrics are my own

I'm already trying to get someone to help me with a way to replace the voices of the original song with my own group singing the lyrics.

If I can do that... then maybe a music vid will be on the way .

dincans canadian, and did mwll solaris voice overs for weed and food, so im guessing pgi could get him too.

If they ever add Solaris it will need to be a seperate game. SOlaris pilots were not combat unit pilots on weekend passes.. They were as I said in another thread.. The Formula One and Nascar Drivers of teh 31st Century... With Sponsers and fans and such..
