Seriously, This is not a fair comparison of skills at all. people who opted in should ONLY being playing against other opted in players when solo dropping. 4 man pug stomping is making this tournament little better than a gamble.

Not that it matters since the tournament winner is basically whoever played most. I understand it is in order to seed the ELO system but its still messed up and the next tourney should not at all be like this.

It does not surprise me that this would happen. Few people want to win things through honest competition or by following the rules. It is kind of where society has gone especially since people think humans are capable of defining their own moral code. It is interesting how they bend their moral code to justify their behavior.

Of course, those perpetrating this fraud will come on here demanding proof when they know full well that no smoking gun can be shown. There is plenty circumstantial and testimonial evidence to prove it.

Actually had Creddit say hi before whipping our *****, I dont normally mind dropping against 4 mans at all, I like the challenge, look at my posts and you'll see I defend 4x vs pugs in normal gaming. but this is a Tournament. when prizes are involved you bet I want a fair fight and there is nothing QQ about that.

It is just a obstacle to overcome. And the difficulty is equal for all.
The 50/50 event is more detrimental to your winrate, because you see so many founder mechs now.

And if you are stuck with founders jenners, while the other team gets 3Ls, well, yeah... It may get hard.

No the chance to encounter a 4man is equal for all. The effect that it has on the game can be extremely unbalanced. if the other team is all pugs for example, also with a four man there are other factors such as map and whether they are equipped to compliment each other. None of these things should be factors in a solo king of the hill points tournament. might as be adding or subtracting 25 match points at random at the end of each game. would you be okay with that obstacle too?

It would be kinda strange, but if the chance is equal for all, it would be fine.

Basically this tournament is there to find out who performs the best under realistic conditions.
And having to face 4mans is part of realistic conditions. A random matchmaker will always be random.

Except it really doesn't.

Regardless of how you cut it, various Merc Units are "solo-syncing". And when it succeeds (not as often as people think, but it does) you now have 2, 3, 4 mechs working together, which means tactics, and a higher score. (Could care less about the actual NON-solo 4 man teams we encounter.. if that is what they need to inflate their base stats, whatever)

The level of PUGly friendly fire face humping is at an all time high, cooperation, an all time low. (Which is why I think a solo queue is bad.. at least as long as there is supposed to be "teams". I get friendly fired to within an inch of my life virtually every match in the solo-rambos rush to improve their ELO. Then you run into a 4 man padding each others stats, it doesn't really indicate much of anything.

They want true solo queues, then let's remove teams and non killing objectives entirely and let it become a giant free for all. At least then I wont get penalized for killing my "teammates" at they FF me multiple times.

I for one have earned my place fair and square. Sucks I have to be at work though, I got as far as 135 place in mediums and will try my hand at Assaults later today. I doubt I will crack teh leaders boards, but i'll have fun trying. FYI if I run into you and I drop out right after dying, I'm off to the next drop. Good Luck Bishop, and all my friends. A little less luck for my frenemies though :D

I sync dropped with Karenai ~60+ times yesterday. We got 3 matches on the same team and the rest as enemies.

In a solo tournament the opt-in players should certainly be queued separately from anyone who doesn't want to participate in it.

Some of my group talked me into team dropping for a while last night, and when we were matched against teams it was nothing but fantastic brawlfests(they all agreed to not pilot lights to minimize the 3L population). 95% of the time we dropped against solo it was nothing but fantastic rollfests, which is unfair to the guys playing in the tourney.

well me and a clan mate have been sinc dropping heavy's a Dragon and a Cat
most matches we have been in the same game but always on opposite teams,
and its been great fun the hunt eachother down he signed up for it but i haven't.

so i guess it s possible for say a team of 4 man, to solo drop just equal weights and hit lunch at same time

works for 2 anyway so why not 4 :D

was pointless to play my founder Jenner!

they claimed they pulled the ecm from being on the Jenner D by devs input. I for one see my founder jenner as a useless hunk of junk and it was good for the closed beta. But that was TESTING. Hows my founder mechs suppose to be worth anything these days? as least the other founder mechs are still viable, Jenner is a waste of space and each time i see it i say oh i use to love you, but even now an ecm spider is better.

Please PGI make my founder package worth something or was is just a way to trick people into giving money early? Back then i had to pick the founders jenner is i wanted to even get past basic skills on my jenner's Now i feel robbed, i feel bad for those folks who bought one and only played off and on during the drama's of closed beta, Now it's worthless and i can't even sell the thing for a free mech bay!

Who cares about bonus cash for my founder jenner? i get 200k in my stalker compared to with a premium account and this weekend bonus a whooping huge 60k

Actually I think it is a very fair condition. We teams have lived and died together in this game and stomped shamelessly through the fields of PUGs. NOW we are dropping PUG v all comers, and our money has been put up to shut up. So far i am a bit under 50% wins. I have fought hard, I have fought dumb, and i haven't complained cause I got rolled.

Well there was that one match when I turned a courner and all the icons on my map turned from Blue to Red! :D

What sucks is that some people are taking advantage of the team-damage system, in that it mistakes friendly fire damage for actual damage. So that AFK atlas at your base? Sh*t loads of points for free. At least that's how some people see it.

Ok, That is just low. I'll lay into an enemy AFK for some cheap points, but that is as low as i will go... Then again How often have i seen the enemy base so far??? 3 times? maybe 4?
