The last few days, I've noticed that the matchmaker no longer seems to match weight classes in opposing team (light for light, med for med etc...) There's been several games where I am the only light on either team, and several more where I'm the only light on my team, and the other team has 4-5 lights (even had one game where my team had 4 lights(edit: THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!) and the other team had not a single one).

Not quite sure if this is a feature of the new matchmaker or an unintended bug.

It's not a bug, that's how it is now. The tonnage differentials is making many people have very bad days.

Nope, it's still there. just not the priority anymore. Lots of posts on this throughout the forums.

Now (generally) it's less about the weight of your team and more about the skill of the pilots.

Ah, I see. Well, I'm not unhappy about it (nothing like being the only light in the match to make a guy feel important lol) it just seemed weird.

Yep. Typical drop last night; myself as the heaviest in an Ilya, a YLW, 2x hunchies, 2x cicadas, a death knell and a raven vs 3 raven 3Ls, a cent, 1 founders atlas and 3 DDCs.
