I remember something from like MWO online ....I played like 20 or 10 years ago........ Everyone in the world forgot this game......But I was there.....had unlimted stuff then too. I wonder if forever counts in alternate realities or existential repeats. ^_^

There was this internal track/rail system. It might have been rules for making mechs from scratch.....i dont remember.

For example if you wanted a hard point "moved" from left arm to right arm, you'd have a track in the left arm, one in left torso, one in center, rt torso, one in right arm.

It might have been just orgin and destination..... basicly you pay with tonage of the equipment slots or both to basicly move one hard point from one place to another. A "further" move might costs more in tons or slots or both.

Like I remember sometimes I love to have symmetrical mech and some times not, So for example you could swap a laser and a machine gun on your Raven 4x. ;)

They won't be allowing changes to the hardpoints. It can lead to to many balance issues and even remove the identity of mechs.

Well technically its not moving the hard point. The track/rail system simply has extended the particular item to differ part of the mech. Its balanced by tonage, slot.

Kinda like if a hard point was a plug, this equipment would be an extension cord.

In other words this is merely a piece of new equipment.

Its easily balanced by tonage or slots of the track itself. This thing might way(WEIGH! YAHH! ;) ) 5 tons.... in some cases a person might say well its not worth 5 tons.

All you got to do is work out a sufficient "penalty" a person pays.

Edit: spelling ninja.

Seriously ? THERE ARE INBALANCES CURRENTLY.

But I agree this is a bad idea as it will lead to even a worse problem than the boating crap we see now.
