tourney was un-fun for me, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many splat's, raven 3L's, D-DC's, and well, you can't really cheese out a medium mech so I am fine with good mediums

I just tried to keep distance from A1s and shoot off their ears.

Can't say I've noticed many A1's, I'm pretty sure I never got dead by one but I mostly played a Dragon so didn't stick close to any mech for long, except to run down some lights or Hunchies. Played 65 matches this weekend (saw Alpine map 3 times, woohoo!). Seemed a good mix of of all types, sure some games had multiple lights/assaults but others had only 1 or sometimes zero. Missiles seemed a bit more prevalent, causing my team to lose a couple matches because we lacked ECM.
My only cause of real cursing: WHY WON'T THAT HUNCHBACK JUST DIE ALREADY!!!!

I decided to not play during the tourney at all. I knew the nasties would be out. I would've been in it and grinded all weekend, but I had a project to do and two exams this week I had to study for sadly

Saw my fair share of Ravens but the one thing which really stands out was lack of PPC fire.
Definitely saw a few premades having some fun but also some groups complaining about ELO. I was never in the hunt with the competition but just wanted to earn a bit extra c-bills with my Founders Jenner.
Cheers!

It felt good to contribute to the first tournament. But, if I had realized just how weighted it was to number of games played I would have Opted Out and just made a lot of Cbills with my Founders/Hero mechs.

I think too many people will have passed out at that stage. I imagine Broceratops will finish his epic session with a fist pump in the air, followed by a moderate concussion as his face strikes the keyboard.
I thought about opting in for the long haul, but realized early on that my children may have be scarred for life when they came home to find daddy inevitably passed out on his machine with a slow dribble of Red Bull and miscellaneous Barbiturates running out of his nose.
Kudos to the leaderboard toppers!
