According to the official post, the recommended requirements is the i3-2500. The i3-2500 DOESNT EXIST.

So either they ment the i5-2500 or i3-2200.

If someone can tell me which one they MENT, that would be nice. Speculations dont help, i want a definitive answer.

Given the Athalon X4 choice below, the i3 on it's own is slightly faster, and an i5-2500k would be complete overkill in comparison. So 99.9% sure they meant an i3 processor.

The Intel Core i3-2500M is a laptop processor. It's not something you can buy for your PC.

I'm guessing it's the i3-2100, because the Athlon II X4 650 doesn't even come close to the i5-2500's performance.

Makes sense, never thought about compairing it to the AMD athlon they posted.

AMD does not have anything that comes close to sandy bridge performance. (as unfortunate as bulldozer turned out to be)

its also a quad.

I think they know what they are talking about when they say the i3, if they didn't they wouldn't have posted it.

I'm assuming it's supposed to be an i5 because the i3 are all dual core and they stated that it does better on quads so I don't think they would recommend a dual. However, nobody but the devs can confirm it for sure.

Correction: AMD does not have anything that comes close to sandy bridge performance in lightly threaded tasks. The AMD FX-8150 runs just below the i7-2600k in multithreaded performance... while costing a good bit ($120) less. (internet retail values)

The i3 is hyperthreaded which makes it somewhat act like a quad core, and with it's high IPC it is more than a match for a low end Athalon II X4 in multithread.

The word "Ment" does not exist either...
