After rereading one of my favorite battletech books I was reminded of Clan Hell's Horses, and remembered how they're actually one of the few clans I'm fond of. Apart from them having a cool insignia, I like that they take on the almost "juggernaut" Clan Ghost Bear. Anyone familiar?

The book in question linked below; I highly recommend. its actually about a Clan Ghost Bear Warrior

sidenote: (for those who might have noticed my dislike of clanners, on other threads)

I'm not exactly fond of clans, but my main reasoning behind it is I just dont like people who like something just because its new and shiny and no one's ever seen it before.

Might not be a perfect comparison but: The Chevy Camaro 2012 and Ford Mustang 2012 are new cars, and cool (depending on your preference) but honestly look around the city you live in, how many people drive one? they've become pretty common now, just because everyone wants one, so they cease to be "cool" after you see atleast 2-3 when you go driving.

The Hell's Horsemen are pretty cool. First for being horsemen, second for their "man before machine" attitude, and third because of the 666th Assault Cluster. Posted Image

If you use the search fu you will see our horsemen have already made a mark in this section. i've been with the 9th(Iota galaxy) since i as tasked with finding a clan to my liking, i was loath to choose bears, wolves or falcons, far to many of them running about.

Fortunately in our group we have a nice mix i play hells horse, another guy is a nova cat, we do have 2 falcons, as well as a cloud cobra, ghost bear and a steel vyper for favorite loyalties.

I've always been fond of the Hell's Horses as well. They're more laid-back than the other Clans, they are extremely tolerant of freeborn and solahma personnel, and they prefer a mixed-forces approach to combat. Most of them don't even throw a fit when someone uses contractions, although this obviously varies from person to person. They also tend to put more money into their vehicles, since they don't focus on mechs to the near-exclusion of everything else.

The Hell's Horses have created some of the most famous Clan equipment out there, as well. Their scientists created the Nova, Stormcrow and Hellbringer Omnimechs; they also created the Elemental genotype, with Clan Wolf creating the armor itself. If you push further into the timeline, the Hell's Horses scientist caste also created Chemical Lasers, and the more famous Hyper-Assault Gauss Rifles. They also were the first to transfer Omni technology to vehicles, creating the first couple types of Omnivehicles.

It always irritated me, though, that the Hell's Horses never got a fair shake in the novels until after Khan Fletcher was put out of his misery.

Hey Kahn Mezlo Amirault of Hell's Horses,if you are not in a unit you might consider joining the 666th War Cluster.
I am looking for not just pilots, but Officers.

You are right...I just double-checked it and I was definitely wrong there. Good catch. :)

Although I *was* trying to revive Gamma Galaxy, we were effectively dead; I was the only one still showing up for ANYTHING, so it was time to leave. Ironically, I joined up with the Ghost Bears. Not my favourite Clan in canon, but I knew them from MWLL, and they are a cool group of guys.

So...I am a little late for this...but I wish you guys luck with the Hell's Horses, as they are still my favourite of the Clans, although the Goliath Scorpions are a close 2nd. B)
