Hey PGI show me my ELO stats. I know my KDA ratio my WIN/Loss ration but im curious about my ELO.
It should be there in the stat option or it will be there just in a later date.

Jeez what is the point, it's NOT A MEASURE OF YOUR L33T SK1LZ. It simply tries to match you up so that you get a minimum of a 50% win rate.
Why the hell would you want to see it? What other game variables do you want to see? Data Transfer? Polygon Count? Anything else equally relevant to how you play the game?

I want to know how many footsteps my mechs have taken. Oh and how much torso twisting too.

How about accuracy or favorite weapon used or tonnage destroyed per game or number of headshots?
Or percantage of mech types u destroyed?
Or maybe number of NOOBS/Aces killed?

Elo is not visible, to prevent people from trying to use it to their advantage (there isn't really anything concrete you gain currently but that may change when CW is implemented in the game).
Also note that your have a different Elo for each weight class.

Any metric used to match players should be viewable by players. Now great pilots are always matched up with poor ones, and great groups are matched up with the exact opposite.
If you're going to place a "Player Difficulty Rating" on all of us, at least let us gloat about it

I'd love to know mine. Running a 67% win rate and 4.9 KDR (was 70% win rate in heavies in the hero tourny when all this elo normalizing was supposed to happen), but 2 out of every 3 matches I'm in with trial mechs, joystick users and people who face-hug with regular PPCs.
*insert fry.jpg*
Not sure if matchmaker is horribly broken POS, or if my elo is just stuck in steering wheel underhive for some reason.

Safest thing to not show it, since you'll probably have players saying "I have a higher ELO than you, therefore my opinion matters and yours don't."

If I understand ELO and how it is currently implemented, I'm not sure it will effect much except for the very good that never lose and the very bad that never win.
I can be the best player in the 16 person match but have 7 players on my team that can't do 100 dmg. They way I understand the current ELO the only thing that matters is the win/loss. I had a few games today where I had the best score of either team but still lost, my ELO goes down, while the players on the other team all have their elo go up regardless of whether they sat at the base and did nothing or went out and got 8 kills.
On one hand, I know I'm an average player, so I really don't care if my ELO stays where it's at, but still, the whole system seems out of touch with reality - not to mention we still have premades on one side only. I just can't fathom the thought process for that oversight.
We already have those types of people here. Go read the 'cheese' thread.

I don't know the formula behind it, it just goes from stomping another team to being stomped back and forth. So I guess thats 50%.
