... but only on testing grounds: smurfy JM6-A
You know, because hunters use shotguns or so.

AFAIK it's the only mech that can mount this setup. And I think it's good only one mech can even mount it.

great firepower, however loose an arm and you loose half the firepower, just like the "splatcat"

I run a somewhat similar Jm6... 2x LBX10, 4x SSRM2's, and 2 ML's. Swapping the SRM6's for SSRM2's lets me put an XL275 in it instead of a wimpy engine.

You're really kinda slow for such a close range focused build.

Maybe something more like this.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7d6c2c982e44515

Or this

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5ae87888356ccfb

I often lose my side torso armor before my CT or arms so an XL is kind of a bad idea if your goal it to get up close and personal.

I also replaced the LBX10 with an AC5 so you can initiate combat at a greater range or get pin point damage on targets with exposed internals.

Not sure what this does better than the splatcat. Now the build that runs AC40 at splatcat speed...

Original engine is slow and the heat is bad for me.
If I made that, it would look more like this, don't need all hardpoints filled.

@Raso, nice but you still have 0.5 to 0.63 tons you could put into Armor.

Lol it wasn't meant as a serious build. Just tested LB 10-X AC on testing grounds against the AWS again (aiming at middle of CT) and it.... sucks. Really.

514 m: at most one pellet hits (thats 1 dmg, like an AC/10 with long range 190 m instead of 450 m)
270 m: pellets can hit ALL mech sections (yay 1.25 dmg at a section)
100 m: pellets hit LT+RT+CT (yay 3 dmg at a section.... wait.... a SL can do this)
50 m, aiming at RT: pellets hit RT and CT (yay 5 dmg at a section.... wait 50 m????)

Never, ever use current LB X-10 AC. The loadout I posted above has 15 salovs LBX ammo and 8 salvos SRM ammo. And it's slow. Completely stupid. But MAXIMUM SPLAT MUHAHAHA.

Yeah I didn't really put much effort into polishing them just kind of threw them together on the spot as an example.

It's called damage control.

Yes. If the LB 10-X AC wasn't broken, it would at least do some damage. The visual effects are hilarious, but after the smoke has faded and you look at the paperdoll... almost start to QQ. It's like you've used a single SRM6 pre-nerf (and I like the nerf).

Before the LRM Nerf, the A was a decent LRM boat. But now, there isn't much choice. Other than 2 AC/20s or 2 Gauss, ballistics kinda suck on this chassis.

Or 3xUAC5. (Of course, those are also the top tier ballistics in general haha.)

JM6-A has only 2 ballistic hardpoints. I agree 3 UAC/5 on a JM6-S or -DD are quite impressive.

2x Llas 4x ASRM4 works for me (can add 2x mg for dakka-sound)

Well, I would not call it a joke build. It can be fixed to something better still using the 2 LBX.

Don't see where LBX is broken, I used one on my HBK-4H successfully.

Inspired by a video, I designed a couple of HBK-4G builds using 2 LBX.
First.

Second.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e9d66f6bf12fb20

2 LBX could work I believe, it worked for this guy and that was all he had, 2 LBX with 60 shots. If a Hunchback can run 2 LBX, I don't see why a Jager can't, it has more tonnage to work with.

Interesting breakdown on the LBX10!!!! I just did a guide on MechSpecsTV about the SRMs + Artemis with range breakdown. I might have to do something similar for the LBX cause now I'm curious!

Just because you can be successful with the LBX doesn't make it good. It's one of the worst weapons in the game, only (potentially) better than the MG or Flamer.

The reality is simple. Just scroll up a couple posts, look at the results.

Or, try this: Mount a single AC/10, go to the Training Grounds and see how many CT-aimed shots it takes to kill a mech.

Now, mount *2* LBX autocannons, and do the same. Lets say at 100m. And remember, one AC/10 vs. TWO LBX's.

The AC/10 absolutely destroys a pair of LBX autocannons. It's ridiculous.
