So, I have Advanced Targeting, Advanced Target Decay, and 360 Targeting on my Mech and as soon as mechs run past the Reticle Lock, I lose the missile lock instantly. No ECM was active, target mech was even painted with TAG. My Mech also has BAP. Description of Target Decay is 3.5 seconds after mech is out of sight. These mechs were just a few feet away in plain sight. Come to think of it I think the target retention was better without all the advanced equipment. I am sure of it really. So somehow something is Bugged with the Modules.

That's like 16 million CBills worth of targeting, not working. Although the BAP was working OK.

Missiles are SSRM 2s. Mechs were Trebuchet, Jenner, Catapult, Trebuchet again, Atlas-K.

missile lock is not targeting. Targeting is simply the box that surrounds the target. You will still lose lock if you can't keep your mouse on the target

Okay, but why does it cause Target Locks to drop faster than normal? I'll test this further and post back with what I find out. Whether it is a bug or just random.

Maybe the value is backwards? I'd think that the target decay module would benefit LRMs more than SSRM.

Something is bugged with one of these modules because I took them all out and suddenly SSRM Lock-On and Lock Retention went back to normal. It's really obvious too. With the modules in you lose Target Lock in about 1 to 1.5 seconds, with them out it goes back up to 3-4 seconds.

Having SSRM lock retention drop to 1 second kills their usefulness because you spend all your time chasing the reticle instead of the target.

Now to test and determine which module is doing this, I suspect Target Decay, but we will see tomorrow.
