So, sure someone will point me in the right direction if this has been raised before, however:
I, at least, would find it useful if there was someway to see what your team-mates loadout is.
I know, I could use chat and ask them. I do when I drop with others, however you cant when pugging.
You can get enemy loadouts by targeting, and see their damage status.
The easiest way to implement this would be to allow 'targeting' / selection of friendly mechs.
I would just like to know if the guy guarding the ridge and stopping anyone shooting me in the back had some large lasers or was some pillock with 6 flamers.

I'd love for this to be implemented. The only problem would be targetting a friendly when they are close to an enemy you try to target, but I'm sure there's some key that could be bound for the task. Plus I would assume if you had the luxury of targetting a teammate to check their weapon scheme it would mean you have the time to find the obscure key on the keyboard it would most likely be bound to

The idea of a pilot not knowing what the loadout on his lancemates' mechs are is almost as ridiculous as not knowing which map we are dropping into.
It's like we were all kidnapped, blindfolded and strapped into our mechs. At the last moment they whip off the blindfold and here we are sitting in our mechs next to a bunch of complete strangers in some random map. They flip on the power and have us go kill some other randomly assembled bad guys. That's just evil. Pure evil.
