Did any of you mainly use just one mech for the tournament?  If so please tell me I am not alone in despite clicking it several times always using something else since the tournament ended.  I love the mech I used, but after this weekend I just can't bring myself to play it again just yet.

Edit: I wasn't asking what people used, I was asking for those that mainly stuck to one mech if you have avoided using that mech again since the tournament ended due to being at least temporarily sick of it.

Without knowing anything I am guessing the top players for light used the Raven 3L... for assaults they used Atlas D-DC

Medium probably had the most diversity. Heavies... hmmmm and Cataphracts and Catapults rounding up the top. I am guessing the A1 was probably the top heavy, or mostly used heavy or the pop tart phract.

I only used one mech: The Spider 5D. I came in 8th on the Light high score list. Wispsy mostly played a Jenner, I think probably exclusvely. Other than that, I think everyone else in the Light leaderboard used Ravens, probably almost all 3Ls.

It could be any mech - the only thing that mattered was number of games played, loadout was practically irrelevant.

CN9-A with AC/10, 2 medium lasers, 2 SRM-6, stock engine, cap accelerator and advanced sensors. Alternate when it was locked was a CN9-D set up completely the same, minus modules

this is very incorrect. look at the difference in games between the first and second ranked medium players. Just playing the game wasn't enough, you had to do it consistently well.

i ran a 3L all weekend, and the majority of the time prior to the weekend and still run it.

I love that mech.

Edited my OP to clarify what I was asking, but since it has gone this way, I used a Catapult A1 almost entirely. (No it does not have 6x SRM 6s or SRM 4s, no it does not have 6x streaks.)

You had to do it often if you wanted to stay at the top however you look at it. So he's very correct.

(OP)

Due to the 50/50 event I ran exclusively my AS7-D(F). Only in around 10 matches I swithced to my D-DC and 2 times I fielded a Stalker LRM boat.

And my D(F) presented me over 40million c-bills during the weekend.

But I used at total different loadout then I use usually, just to test the hell out of it and get better in long range sniping.

Best shot of the weekend:
On Alpine I kill-shotted a Raven which was circling my last remaining teammate (another Atlas) at over 1600m. First two salvos missed, 3rd brought that Kolibri to a sudden and very final stop.

When the whole tournament was done (and my #19 rank locked) I happily changed back to my regular config.

Still use my Atlas-D-DC, it is my ride. unless I hit a slump, then I switch for a few drops.

I managed to stay within 1 or 2 places even after a day of not playing, and quickly regained my position after playing a few quality games. A bunch of terrible games didn't move your points, but a few quality games gave you tons of points. Again, look how many drops Ciller dropped, and how easily Za took 1 back with good games.

I primarily used my Muromets, not for the tournament but for the extra Cbill bonus. I knew I had exactly zero chance to win the tourney so I didn't bother with it.

I primarily played a CN9-AL, later in the tournament I started mixing in a CDA-3M for a change of pace. Although early on I seriously thought about running an Illya + Founders Catapult to double-dip in the bonus C-Bills before deciding to focus on Medium bracket.

Truth. In the last hour, I shot from 123rd to 98th place. 5 good games gave me a 25 place boost.

I recently (before the tournament) maxed all my Centurions... the AL was my least favorite.... I just couldn't get a good feel for it being energy based I guess, any suggestions? (heard a few already but more never hurt)

All weekend at 106kph in my FLAME. Soon as Tourny ended thought I'd finish basic skill tree on my Stalker 5M...

47.5kph.

Ouch. Maybe I should have let some of the caffeine leave my system. I almost chewed my arm off by the time I reached the Ridge in Frozen City.
