Ok this is what was just said in the match I was in, from a dude on my team... I was the only light on our side in a Spider 5V and they had a Raven 3L on the other team... So, lets start from the beginning here... lol... I go out ahead, I found where the entire enemy team was and there was a perfect ambush setup. That was failed by Rambo there and I'm sure most know what I mean by that. So lets move on here. The Raven was taken down and I was credited with 294 dmg, 2 kills, and 4 assists by the time I caught twin gauss I think it was in the face (it was actually a really good shot from a long distance too lol). All while taking massive amounts of LRM fire, which would have killed said bad mouth Rambo Stalker... At the end we lost of course due to the Rambo hey look what I can do types but I was the reason and a fail light... Lets review: I found the enemy alone and didn't die or even get shot at while doing it. I forwarded the info for an ambush which failed thanks to Rambo. Ended up 3rd on the dmg list with 294 dmg, 2 kills, and 4 assists and the top dmg on the team was said Rambo with 590. However I am the fail of the team according to Rambo there... My point is, don't blame something on someone who did exactly what they were suppose to do because you think you are Mr. Rambo Stalker... Stop talking like a ******* to people behind your monitor because you made a silly mistake and are trying to pass the buck to make yourself look better... lol... Man up butter cup... There is no need or point for silly comments such as yours...

But, but... You *were* a fail light because if you'd been in a 3L instead of a Spider the combination of ECM, hitbox and SSRMs would have made it possible for you to win the match for your team instead of allowing Rambo's incompetence to cost you all the win.

I am sorry that 3Ls are just that much better and sorry that people come down on people who drive anything but 3Ls (I drive a Jenner, personally so I know your pain). Sooner or later they'll figure out how to balance them or the community will adapt to RavenWarrior Online but until that happens, you have my sympathy.

The Raven didn't win that fight and was taken down 1st or 2nd. I cannot remember but it was fast so that makes little difference...

I'd say in a weight-pulling match the Spider wins in this case. He did his job and matched killstats with a Stalker, and with half the damage output. Not too shabby, I'd say.

But yeah, according to Stalkboy's attitude, bring a cheese sammige next time instead of something you think is fun and are good at piloting.

**** the morons. Pilot what you like. You're here to have a good time, right? So have a good time. You played a good game and the snide comments of some moron who doesn't understand this game doesn't change that.

Besides, the 3L is having its time in the sun, but methinks the broken hitboxes won't last forever, and with collisions on the horizon... it's only a matter of time, folks.

It's more or less because you're in a light. In any game where there is a fast, not very tough option, a large number of those who play the other options will grow to date the former option with a passion simply because they get frustrated by them. There are obviously degrees here, from those who grumble about 'zippy little ********' to those who rant and rave because they can't ever miss because missing means they've failed and that opens them up to bad places, because if they fail daddy will be mad, and then the belt comes out, or something.

TL:DR Rambostalker is bad, and ergo mad.

Just made me think, it might be fun if there were a random mech mode where you don't choose the mech you ride. Lot of the self riteous "I am so good in my customized cheese platter mech" would die hard in those.

Of course such a mode probably wouldn't be very popular but...

It reminds me of DDO, where in some guilds (fortunately not all)
you are only accepted into a Raid, if you have leveled your character along strictly specified paths
and evryone who doesn´t level his/her character this way is a fail build, which isn´t accepted into the Raid

Fantastic idea, and I'm not being sarcastic. I'd play that. I know a lot of others who would too.

I know the forums aren't a great indicator, but a lot of us are here for the fun of it, not the stats. Having to pilot a random mech on the spot would be fun times :)

In an asymmetric setup like MWO, this really shouldn't be an issue. But, with exceedingly overpowered items in the game that's what it'll turn into. Homogeneous builds using those items becomes mandatory.

Not fun at all from my perspective. One great thing about guilds/clans/groups... there's enough people on the internet that there's a clan more suited to your gaming philosophy out there somewhere. Another great thing: these douchebags grouping together means you aren't forced to game with them. :)

And you're telling US this why?

Why didn't you put this in a PM and send it to the Rambo Stalker?

By making a big deal about it, coming here and sharing your frustrations you have fed the troll... and rest assured... if a troll shoots fire at a nuclear reactor... it's going to blow up, 'n when it does.. can you say satisfaction? Point being stop letting them bother you, grow some confidence and give them no reaction, do not play their game, do not stoop to their level, it's a choice...

P.S.
You're not going to change anybody, or who they are and how they act.

The spider is not a fail. The point is that one has to see to the actual intended ROLE of the chassis.

At 137,5 KM/H and 12 jumpjets it's freaking fast scout/interceptor. Imagine a resource fight on Alpine - who would capture what first?

And you can actually fit a ER Large Laser on it with a little tweaking.

It's not the chassis that makes something good - it's the pilot.
