I'm not sure which part of this picture I'm supposed to fap to (that's a damn sexy mech), but I like it! Very well done.

My idea for the pimp yo mech thread.

Rather than constantly update that thread i'll just throw updates here as I get closer to completion and then once it's all done just go back and put the finished work in the PYM thread

Though I do think I'll have to go and render the dropship in 3dsmax to get the right perspective and such.
Idea here

Texturing it and then i'll combine the two.

I've been asked: Why not just do the whole thing in 3d?

Well, very doable but honestly kinda pointless. If PGI decides to use the idea well then they will most likely have their artist render up and recreate the work. They are more than welcome to the files but at this point there is no need to spend a couple of hours in max to 3D the bombshell when the 2D one is just the way I want it.

Very cool pictures and I must say the bagpipes and swords on a cowgirl is interesting.

Ok.

So close to being done but I am out of time for the day. I need to do some touch up lighting and shading on the dropship as well as some blending of the lines on the girl.

If some people are interested I'll ditch the stand and make a poster with like "GIVE EM HELL!" across the top as sort of a propaganda poster.

oh, definitively interested!

Hoping to see some art of your "personal" MWO Ride of choice with that as a crest on it, too!

Oh, I was just going to do a 1940-ish propaganda poster like this:

I'm done.

I update the PYM thread.

Thx again for the compliments, this little project turned out a lot better than I ever suspected.

only critique, shouldn't it have some ion exhaust out the rear, and maybe the nose shielding startign to heat from re-entry?

also, you should link your post url to this post so it's easier to find. Mine is post ~#666!

Maybe, the few inspirations i've found didn't have any of that on them, but then again most of those were actual bomb's with no propulsion.

I'll look into it.

Maybe the fact that everyone is basically spamming the thread makes it harder to find the better stuff.
Or potentially they are low on the wits to see the awesomeness of this fine piece of work.

true. 90% of the "ideas" need to just be Mod-Bombed.

Well the "Likes" don't decide who wins, I think it's all PGI controlled on who wins and loses.

Then again, maybe they just don't like it. =)

true the likes are not the decider, but I hope and pray that PGI takes it into consideration that the more something is "liked" by the community, the greater the chance of them actually selling.

So I went back to school because I am bored with telling other people how to make games when I just need to finish my degree and make my own.

Needless to say I am rather enjoying myself and in my current glass GAD218 we had to recreate a popular fantasy or sci-fi setting but we could only use Egg shaped characters to tell the story. The reasoning is that they want you to focus on Materials, Lighting, Camera work to tell the story and set the mood.

Needless to say I chose Tron

Apologize for the rough music editing...If I had another few days to screw around with it I am sure I could figure out After Effects to temper it....but I was in a hurry.

Hopefully in the future I can start working in some Battletech stuff for my assignments.
