Title says it all.
I've been out of touch with Mechwarrior for a while now {since vengence.}

Obviously, joined today, so i'm not entirely sure on my chances for getting a beta invite.
Regardless, i plan to follow this game until i can play.
The community here seems very mature for the most part.
In-depth Mech convos on Lore 'n what not.

Anywho, i have no preference on anything Mechwarrior besides this House.
I am a Madcat fan though.

If i'm wrong in posting this thread here, my bad, delete it.

Bummer, i literally just came to this site like 2 hours ago for the first time. :]

I read the Faction FAQ on'em and i'm a fan of Bushido and japanese culture.
My online play style is much like me IRL, in that i am Loyal. So when it comes to clans/guilds/units, I stick with'em and try to help them as much as i can.

Don't worry, there are many good Kuritan mechs by this time. You shouldn't have problems finding a temporary replacement for the Timber Wolf.

Welcome back to MW, Edmond. You are arriving at a good time. Some of us have been haunting this forum since last October, involved in the run up to this game since August of 09, and just plain manning the watch towers for a decade (since MW4 Mercs). You have only a few weeks to wait.

If you decide not to go with a house there are plenty of Merc corps looking for pilots, just go to the Merc Corp recruiting forum if you're interested and look around.
Also welcome, hopefully only a couple more weeks before we can blow stuff up.

Welcome to the DCMS, your loyalty is not misplaced with the Great House Kurita.

As Muskrat-san mentioned, many of us are currently gathering at http://www.housekurita.org - registering there is not mandatory for joint operations, of course, but I believe it would be beneficial to our faction as a whole if we could get as many single warriors and entire units to sign up for mutual support and coordinated strikes against the enemy.

I can completely relate to the OP. Been out of the MW world since I finished MW4 Mercs. I was not a fan of the MechAssault games so it's been too long. I am seriously looking forward to some cooperative online battle that has the potential for greater impact. The last time I experienced that was in 2001 with Battletech 3025 which I was able to beta test. I loved that game even with it's flaws. This seems like the next evolution of the concepts behind that game. I seriously hope that we will be able to drop organized units onto a planet and wage a strategic battle as well as a tactical one.

I think that the relative age of the MW universe is why there is a more mature presence in these forums. After my experiences with recent pay-to-play MMO's It is a welcome respite.
