Doing another theorycraft here again. Does anyone have a similar build? Wanted to find out if this is viable.

CPLT-MRFS
320 Endo
XL300
14 DHS
2x ML
2x ERPPC
2x LRM15 (360 ammo)

The idea is to be able to provide fire support at different ranges.
0-180: ML/ERPPC
180-270: ML/ERPPC/LRM
270-810: ERPPC/LRM
810-1k: LRM

I don't think this is a good idea. You're sacrificing too much armor, ammo, and heat efficiency just to replace what would normally be medium/large lasers with ERPPCs.

Downgrade LRMs, increase heatsinks, and downgrade ERPPC to PPC if you still want the ability to negate ECM. Something like this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7459db37f04eab8

Alternatively, replace LRMs with SRMs for more close-range power, and keep the ERPPCs. You really shouldn't be looking to engage at the 800-1000 range anyways, since the enemy can just hide behind hills, wasting your LRM ammo.

Note: I have not actually tested the builds I suggested.

Sorry to say, too less armor, running by far too hot and only 12 salvos with the LRM?

Maybe you'll love that build, I can tell for sure I won't.

But everybody plays different.

Thanks for the feedbacks! You guys pretty much echoed the concerns I have.

MasterBLB: I'm running a similar build right now as what you suggested. Except I went with 2x SSRM2 instead.

Streaks don't provide good close-range defense, they just don't have enough punch. And these pesky ECMs...
But,you might have better heat efficiency for example, good enough to run ER PPCs for example.
