I've been playing MWO since closed beta. From that period up until this last patch, it would appear that the bugs are winning the battle. Since this game is still beta, shouldn't most of the work be fixing bugs? Of course, new content are always welcome but it should not make up the bulk of a patch.

Game play makes or breaks a game. As things stand, the net code and hitbox detection still leaves a lot to be desired. Since MWO is a shooter, shooting at a target and not being able to kill it even though you're obviously hitting it is a very frustrating experience. This is the very core of an online shooting game and no, it is not working correctly. I've played Indie games with better net code and hitbox detection.

ELO seems like a great idea and since it's only been a week since it was implemented, I am still waiting for it to bloom. That said, I'd just like to point out this: Lack of weight matching killed 8 man games and if you're not careful, this same problem will also kill off the rest.

I'm not even going to get started with the game client. General instability just adds insult to injury but I'm willing to put up with some insult if you take away most of the injury.

All in all, MWO has become my bread and butter for online gaming and I sincerely hope that all these issues get worked out soon. I'm holding my breath but don't expect me to be able to hold it for very long!

You're about to be told that the people working on the bugs are different people working on content. Because PGI is so huge that they have 48 different teams each working on minute and precise aspects of the game. This assumption will be laid out repeatedly to you until such a time as you think a feature is badly implemented. Then PGI suddenly becomes a tiny developer from whom you should not expect anything, and in doing so you are in fact entitled and should QQ less.

Personally I think the work rate has massively improved this year though. I don't buy hero mechs personally but they're distinctive and interesting. The post-match stats UI is really decent and I hope will persist into the Front End. Alpine is an ok draft copy of a map (please say it's not final) and Elo seems to have resulted in better games for this average/casual player.

I would like to see an end to the real gameplay breakers though. I never had CTD's until the first Feb patch yet now suffer one at the end of every other game, server-side firing auth and latency make most ballistics pointless for me (UK), the social setup is woeful as compared to the competition and silly stuff like ghost targets and bugged targetted warning features ruin all the good work done elsewhere.
