I'm not sure, but is it a requirement to have the same resolution on all 3 screens? I've got a few netbook sized screens hanging around here, but they arent fullhd like my main screen.
Anyone tried this?

Depends on what you want to achieve.
It is no problem running three screens with different resolutions while running the system desktop surface. You can run an application on any of those three screens.
If you want to run them as a combined screen for a high resolution application, it depends on the screens you are using.
I'm running three screens, powered by a single HD7970-GHz card. The center screen is a 26" 16:10 monitor (1920x1200), while the side screens are 24" 16:9 devices (1920x1080). I can adjust my center screen to run in a 16:9 mode, but usually don't do it as it only works, as long as I connect the screen via the VGA port. So if I play MWO in an Eyefinity triple screen setup at a resolution of 5760x1080 the image on the center screen is therefor a little bit streched up and down. It's noticable but not disturbing my performance.
I don't know for sure how it works on Nvidia systems, but AMD Eyefinity combines the three screens into one. You'd have to restrict yourself to the resolution capabilities of your smallest screen.

I see... well the smaller screens are 1366 x 768, so maybe I could play 4098 x 768 if I really wanted, but I think I'll pass on that case.
