Hey.

Since yesterdays downtime I have serious connection issues. Like lagspikes every few seconds (mech moves without me pressing a button), massive positioning/hit detection issues on just about every moving mech not just lights (a full frontal 5 MPL alpha would not do any or just very little damage and not at the place I aimed at) and an overall unplayable experience.

I have checked all I could at my end. Ping is the same 130 as it always was. Any other online game i am currently playing has not problem at all.

Is anyone else having issues? Or does anyone have a tip what else I could check?

Thx for the reply at least I know I am not alone with this.

If your location is truely texas I guess trying a traceroute to the gameserver in order to find any slow hop on the route would not help either.

Anyways: Does anyone have the IP of the game or login server to try and do a traceroute to narrow down the problem?

I've personally experienced similar issues on Sunday night if i remember correctly. Things like I press zoom and the mech zooms 1,5" after I've pressed it, the same with thermal or even placing the crosshair somewhere only to see that I was aiming somewhere else in reality later on.

Ping looked to be normal with some light spikes (I normally avg at 140, spikes were temporary to 200, so nothing terrible), but the game was unplayable. I don't know at this time, can't play the game right now.

EDIT: I've tracked a post on that argument, the time was 12:20 AM the 25th Feb.

I've been having latency issues only at certain times of the day for just over a month now, almost like clockwork daily from around 8:30PM Eastern US to 10:30pm my ping will go up to around 150, sometimes as high as 200 or even 250 for periods of time, where normally its around 50-60 the rest of the day. I'm still collecting traceroute data before I make a call to RoadRunner but it seems to indicate it starts somewhere in the middle of the way there so I don't think the issue lies locally in my neighborhood or at PGI's servers.

Last night I don't think my ping ever went above 100ms, maybe not even above 70-80... wonder if somebody fixed something? Guess I'll keep monitoring it to see if its gotten corrected.

i was having "jumping" issues while targeting light fast mechs. they would not move in a fluid manner, but almost teleport a meter from where I was targeting them. made shooting unbearable. i went back to WOT.

well last night I had a short amount of time around the 200ms ping range, but it seemed to start earlier and ended sooner than usual. So I dunno.

Dear god ,they must find the problem or some of us will leave the game and that would be a shame.

Ross, when you freeze up try ctl+alt+del to switch out of the game, then click on the task on the task bar to bring the game back to focus. I've only locked up a few times since I've been playing, and that gets me back in.
