Targeted Warning And Ecm.. False Positives?

Most notably if having been a previous target of the enemy but they are outside acquisition range.
But i happend to have a thought on it... try this lil take on it for internal review testing.
using ecm..
1.. u get close enough to allow an enemy to target you
2.. they manage to target you..
3.. You break LOS and target loses his target info box
4.. regain visible LOS to previous mech but out side targetable ECM range..
5.. Recieve a warning targeted respose, tho u are not possibly targeted.. thus a false positive.
My thought is that the Audio warning is getting cued up as soon as visible LOS is regained but before acquisition is complete... Are we getting caught assuming LOS will yeild target re-acquisition?
Is it possible that audio cues are being issued merely on visible LOS.. but before the other mech has to pass / fail it's target acquisition checks?
Or is it that it passes initial acquisition but then something in the ECM routines suppresses targeting info... IE target has been reacquired in the back end but ECM suppresses it from the front end display on the hud.

even if i am not under the ecm umbrella i get locked on as if i was being spotted when clearly i dont see any enemy in sight at all, am surrounded by a lot of cover and friendlies. when i know ive been spotted by the enemy i get myself into cover properly that no enemy can see me for at least 10 sec... only to be locked on again by some ghost that isnt even there. remember that target decay only lasts 3.5 sec.

no i'm talking clear of the bubble... say 500m or so... where they should not be able to gain a target.. but u still get an audio warning...
I've gotten them when an enemy mech isnt even close to LOS..
I know about when i'm close they can get a target but no lock... and this is when in pure disrupt mode....

or, to be more clear:
1) Alpha is the last remaining enemy.
2) Hit "R" to target Alpha
3) Lose LOS and lock on Alpha
4) Teammate gains LOS on Alpha, regaining my lock on Alpha
5) "Warning: Targeted" sounds
This happens and there is no way possible that Alpha has LOS to me.

Had something similar:
* there was only one surviving Mech on the enemy team (a Jenner)
* we were busy getting all those conquer caps because he was avoiding a fight.
* I was piloting a CAT (so no ECM involved) and said Jenner had some scrapes with me before deciding to run
* Every time one of my teammates would target this guy I would get a "Warning: Targeted" - even when he was 1500 m from me on the other side of the mountain in frozen city (beyond the tunnel)
This was a clear case of a bug, but in many matches I have gotten very strange warnings of this kind, which made me suspicious (no enemy found for a while, no shots fired, nothing...). Ghost mechs!?

1. When your mech auto-targets an enemy it falsely tells you that you're targeted.
2. I believe it builds up and announces every single targeted warnings even if they no longer apply. So say 5 people target you over the course of 10 seconds and then you run behind cover to lose lock. It will still announce them after the fact until all 5 warnings have been spoken.

Maybe this sort of bug is sending a false warning to someone on the other team to match my false target?
There are times when I target a mech that I am not even facing and the target box hangs static in my screen as if it were plastered to my windshield instead of tracking an actual target.

Yeah, that's a good way to describe it.
