Many people found that regardless how big a map is and what mode they play the combat is almost anytime the same combat on the same place on the map.
Directing the combat to different places would probably enhance the entertainement of the battle.
To direct the combat i.e. the conquest mode could be changed to a mode where only one randomly chosen cap point will count for ressource points.
Scouts have to find that point, the mainforces will finally move to that point to battle out who controls it.
Especially on big maps the combat can be directed that way to very different map locations.
