Everyone knows why ecm+ssrm is quiet op especially against another light. Suggestion is quiet simple disrupt mode should have minimal range about 50-70m.

How it should be implemented:
it can be a new module purchased by gexp or it can be new master skill, which will allow to target enemy mech within 50-70m range even if you have low signal.

How it will effect game experience:

Light with ecm+ssrm should maintain mid range with its target 50-180m, in which it can't be targeted and get hits with ssrms back. Opponent will try to get closer to get a lock. It would equal chances for light without ecm and still give the edge against heavies,

There number of SSRM ammo should be reduced from 100 to 50 or weight should be increased from 1 to 2.

What about decreasing ssrm damage compared to srm damage?
Or make it so ssrms are less accurate at very close range where srms would be better?

Just have generating a lock on cancel out a mechs ECM protection, so a RVN-3L in a flock of eight ECM equipped ravens is unprotected when it locks on to a target. It will discourage the double whammy of ECM and SSRM's/LRM's.

The justification is that getting and holding a lock on requires broadcasting signals that are too difficult to mask.

these problems were there long before ECM made an appearance. before the raven, jenner JR7 - D ruled the field. the problem with streaks is that in light vs. light combat the mech with more streak launchers almost always wins.

if the only thing that beats streaks is other streaks then the system is broken. if this game had no light mechs with missile hardpoints then i would say streaks are balanced, but as long as light mechs are allowed to equip them then fights between light mech variants cannot be fair under the current system. ECM just shifts the advantage from all light mechs with streaks more towards only mechs with ECM and streaks. regardless of who has the streak advantage ATM my jenners that use only energy weapons get screwed.

Even now they are weak against heavy/assault mechs. Decrease them more - they'll be useless aganst anything. But decreasing SSRM's ammo per ton to 50 or even to 30 make SSRMs powerfull, but short live weapon, similar to AC/20.

Yesterday got 1 idea: what if dev's made wrong decision giving ECM to mechs with missile hardpoints? Commando 2D, Raven 3L powerfull enough even without ECM. So giving ECM to mechs with no missile hardpoints lead to the following situation: specialization mechs - SSRM boats and SSRM hunters. In that case the role of SSRM and ECM should be nerfed.
