Wait... wait.. wait a second...
The X-5 is NOT ECM CAPABLE?!
OK... can we now please have this ECM discussion with every following hero mech? These hundreds and hundreds of posts in different threads, the same never ending discussions over and over? Yeah that would be fantastic...

But they can mess with the stats of it in any way they want. Give it better twist than the standard 3F. Or make it 4E 6M instead.
And drop the bay doors for faster SRM firing. This coupled with better torso twist and higher engine capacity equates to a potent SRM assault brawler.
...
Make it so.

The Jagawen variant's loadout is known (my previous post includes a link to the webpage with the BattleTech Record Sheet), and it necessarily needs a minimum of six (6) energy hardpoints and four (4) missile hardoints to carry its armament.
Simply giving it extra missile hardpoints (for a total of six (6) energy hardpoints and six (6) missile hardoints) allows it to carry more individual weapons than any other Stalker variant - just imagine the howling about "pay-to-win" that would result.
Simply moving the missile hardpoints or giving it a slightly wider/faster torso rotation doesn't really make it noticeably different, especially given the Stalker's lack of actuated arms.
Why pay MC for a 6E/4M variant when there is a c-bill purchasable 6E/4M variant that does the same thing to such a large degree that there is substantially no difference?
It's the same reason why they made up the Ilya Muromets rather than put in the canonical Lucky Thirteen (piloted by George Lytton of the Fox's Teeth) - apparently, PGI feels that the Hero 'Mechs have to be substantially different from the other variants of the same chassis, without being substantially better than said other variants.

I said 4E and 6M, not 6/6.

I can imagine that PGI could make up a Hero Stalker that is an energy/ballistics variant, in contrast to the "typical" energy/missile Stalker loadout...
I'd rather not to see that happen. I love differences in mechs, but when every mech can be anything... well, it kinda looses the spirit.

The "Ripper" a customized Stalker used by the legendary Jack was part of several massacres. It has added two machine guns to the center torso, and replaced the medium lasers with flamers..
The pirate Jack was never captured and could still be around.
II'd laugh if we got something like that, 2 ballistic hardpoints...in the CT. yeah.

Ran the X-5 last night before we started "The Crow" runs and liked it. I have a mini SP now.

It's a pretty sweet build. It's pretty much a giant Jenner. There was one on the enemy team that we played against last night and tore it to shreds. He thought he was invincible trying to fight against 5 mechs within the first 5 minutes of the game.

And the point of the very first sentence in my post - a point which had obviously been missed - is that the Jagawen variant carries six energy weapons, so it must necessarily have at least six energy hardpoints... so the suggestion to give it only four energy hardpoints is simply invalid.
