Even with that consideration they're on the slow side. For the map team, the number I've heard is 7 people taking 3-4 months per map. There are plenty of mod teams that work faster in their spare time for free.

Consider that they are still doing the initial work of creating Art Assets for each environment. Also next month (March) will bring another Map. So basically they are working on more than one Map at once.

I have no faith that this will amount to anything. No one from PGI will notice or care.

I do however have alot of respect for Norris and agree with him completely. You can add my name to the list. (Not that I think PGI will miss my monthly $5-$10 purchases of MC)

Given where this is now, I'm pretty sure the only people will care this is here are the birds and other trolls.

Many people care about the concept arts. Heck, there was a time (before Closed Beta) that the concept arts were all we have of this game. Some important threads (like this) gravitate around the concept arts.

I think not only PGI but also many players here underestimate the power of Alex Iglesias creations.

Indeed he does. However, given this thread was deemed to be non-constructive and ended up here, I think we can be relatively assured it will turn into worm food.

Just sayin...

He is a genius. In my opinion, the battlemech has NEVER looked better. ANY of them.

Disagree.

He made the Helios look good and functional and his Battletech art in general has raised the bar...absolutely amazing stuff.

Cover art, random sketches and doodles = awesome.

Most of the mechs for MWO to date are incredible...but I feel the Blackjack, and more importantly the Orion, have missed the mark. The cockpits for both are just wrong.

I prefer the smaller multiport cockpits of the originals. Not sure why he or PGI felt the need such a drastic change.

I can see a little modification as in all the mechs so far, but what was done to these mechs has changed their "personality" and put the "scale" off.

Battletech has had, quite literally, some of the worst art I've ever seen in a professionally published game.

Literally anything is better than this. And these aren't even the worst of it.

Seriously, look at the Stalker.
