Was just curious, since there is no way to compare our stats i wanted to ask:

What is your k/d ratio? What is enough to can say "im a good player"?

Mine is 1.64, using a centurion c9d, stalker 3f and since some days my double gauss cata.

Anyone with a KDR over 1.1 is considered average.

That is all you need to know.

Is a question eliciting an opinon based response, not a pure number. Also, in your search for these numbers, from the search I linked

Of course its not everything, since there are roles what dont even require to use the weapons. Im talking purely about the skills of building a good mech and using it in the right way in pugged matches. Of course if you play scount and have a 1.0 kd ratio ure an awesome player. If ure a brawler with 1.0 its not the same. And so on.

K/D is fairly uninteresting as far as measuring skill goes. It's not like keeping your mech alive in a losing match makes you a better player then one who goes down fighting.

Ah but there was a time when you paid less to repair your mech if you did not die! For me that was always the game within the game for WoT and I've done it here too. With the removal of R&R it's still a fun game to see if you can out fox the hounds trying to chase you down.

Generally a decent measure of skill/experience. You won't see a new player getting positive K/D.

Not to forget that the K/D is not dependant on the skill, of the player alone.
Someone playing in a premade may have a higher KDR than someone who exclusively plays PUGs, even if he may be less skilled than the PUG player (unless his premade group sucks, of course).
Also someone who, while PUG playing had a streak of bad luck and was constantly PUG stomped by premades will have a lower KDR than someone who almost always played against other PUGs.
All that aside from the fact that the KDR can be vastly different depending on the mech / weight class you play

Muh KDR

I run away so that I don't get killed at the first sign of trouble, but when I do fight I wait until someone is about to die than alpha him for the kill.

That's how my KDR is so high.

I was running Cataphracts and had a k/d of .85. decided to try mediums and it went up. Mainly run a Centurion and I am currently at 1.38 and rising. I consider myself an ok pilot. Tend to stick with the group and only pug. In this game it is not about k/d. It is how well you can work with your team, focus fire or chase off skirmishers, etc.

High KDR in almost every case means either premade or stat-padding. In any case, it doesn't indicate squat about skill, except that if yours is rising without resorting to one of the aforementioned, then you are probably improving. I suppose the same could be said if you are running premade and it's improving, but you had been running premade.
