My version of an X2-Brawler.

Std.300-Engine, AC20, 2xSRM6, AMS

Fast, well amoured and perfect to shred uncarefull assaults ;)

If the ammo in your right arm blows up, your AC20 is toast.
Consider dropping the ammo in the Cockpit and center Torso because these two will get consumed first.
But infact I dont like that built at all. You cant do anything against faster moving targets because your srms wont come out all at once and you need godly aim to make every shot of your ac20 count, because it has a high recycle time and it needs a bit of time to aim it properly, and while youre >200m away from your target your SRMs become more and more anpredictable where and IF they hit.

Let me brake this down for you.
You have a "brawler" that has less armor and less firepower than an assault, and you desire to shred assaults with this?
Only a pilot who doesnt know what hes doing will lose against you.
A pilot with at least a little awareness will see, that you only carry 2 Srm6 and an ac20 with you and will rip you appart.
D-DC alphas will be your worst nightmares if you play against better players. Not to mention all the faster smaller mechs with more potential firepower "dps"

CTF-2X

This is mine. Pretty much a mini-atlas that goes significantly faster. Core assaults in a couple alphas.

Everything is safely stored, has long range poke, heat efficient, enougn armor, speed, etc.

Tweaks & feedback always appreciated

Maybe something like this?

Use the streaks and LPL on the fast movers while the AC10 allows you to initiate combat at a father distance.

Alternately there's this one with the AC20.

Basically you're now using the large laser to initiate at range while relying on the AC20 for it's close range action. It's almost like a little Atlas.

On an aside note, I've started using a pair of SRM2 in place of streaks on some builds just for the lack lock on capabilities. I find that often times I default to SSRMs not for the lock on capabilities but for the tonnage. Don't be afraid to slap some SRM2s or SRM4s if you're low on tonnage.

STD 245 engine
AC/20
2xSRM6 w. Artemis
3ML

A tad slow at a measly 60KPH (without speed tweak), but good God does it shred up close. Besides, who needs speed when the enemy's cockpit is shaking like its having a seizure. :-)

I've moved away from usage of the ac20 in favor of the gauss rifle. My build:
280std
2ml
1ERLL
8srm (combine how you want)
1gauss

It has a very decent long range capability, with the ranged heat being negligable. up close, it kills, and despite requiring cooldown, you can constantly fire the gauss. The ammo doesn't explode either, and 30 shots is usually more than enough to stay competetive. I've topped the charts a number of times with this build, and it's one of the only one's I've gotten to like.

Something worth mentioning: having an ml in the arm is kind of awkward for me, especially considering that it's either going to be in it's own control group, which is weird for a lone ml, or combined with the missiles, which is awkward for timing shots. The grouping is much easier this way: the torso ml are combined, the arms are independent, as well as the gauss.

Heres a variant of the OP. Removed the PPC, added two mlas and plenty of AC 20 ammo.
