Because a 3M is ALWAYS a more skillful pilot.

End of story.

Then it's not the 3M that is better if the Pilot needs to be better. :)

It's not because "M" is one letter higher than "L"?

It's a fun mech, honestly my favorite but if you want to win the video game you take a 3L

Agreed, great mech. However, 3L is still better.

Yeah, because ECM has such a hard time with missiles. :)

Depending on how good my aim is on a particular day, I can sometimes waste 3L's with my 3M dual ER PPC build, or in the very least the noob 3L pilots. The more experienced pilots have a better time dodging my shots...but it's hard not to be satisfied when you out-gun a great build light mech with close range ER PPCs.

But since you wish to claim the 3M is better, what build are you running on it?

Guess where the good Pilots are going to go when Community Warfare drops and competition becomes more prominent? 3Ms will become more rampant.

I am saddened that I might have to just leave my Jenners by the wayside and buy a Raven 3L and put a XL 290, some MLs and a SRM6 pack on it to artificially reproduce my beloved Jenners, only with ECM so I will remain competitive.

XL 290 is useless on the 3L because it weights the same as an XL295 and takes up the same slots while also not being as fast.

I usually run a 300xl in my Jenenrs, but have a 280XL in my garage, too, that weighs exactly 1.5 tons less than a 300XL...

Lets compare the 2 Lights with 3 Module Slots to keep things on common ground. Which would you rather have?
  • A 35t Jenner-K with a 300XL, 4ML and SRM4,
or
  • a 35t Raven-L with 280XL, Guardian ECM, 3ML, and SRM6?

The world would be a happier place with neither. :)

I'd rather have the 35t Jenner with a 280XL, 4ML, 2SRM4s, and 5 Jump Jets. The JR7-K is awful, and none of the currently existing modules are worth worrying about.

Oh, yeah... this statement right here is getting the thread Jettisoned. I guess I should have done this before I started chiming in. See, the Opening Statement is a direct insult, and I should have acted upon that before attempting to contribute to this insult thread.

Personally I could care less if you are a Ace pilot in a Raven, Commando, Jenner, Spider, or Cicada. Why? Because I want good Light pilots on my side when the Clan arrives. If the Cicada has ECM and streaks then good. ECM will be one of the few advantages over the Clanners when they arrive. Heck give the Jenner ECM while you are at it. If you have fun piloting it and can take down Clanners then I could care less what you drive. Squabbling about which is the better IS mech vs IS mech is useless when there are bigger dangers and worries shadowed around the corner.

Except that the Clans have their own ECM, and better streaks. Oops, we're toasted, still.
