I've got my favorites I'm looking for, but some... I'm not that fond of.

Fire Moth, Kit Fox, Adder, Nova, Hellbringer, Timber Wolf, Warhawk, Dire Wolf. With those I'm a happy man. Maybe a Stormcrow for a second medium, but they are butt ugly. I could probably do without the Fire Moth too, but going over 200kph and packing multiple SRM6s with your ECM sounds like good times.

I hope they don't go the cheap just IIC mechs route.

People complain about the 2xAC20 Catapult now, what do you think the reaction to a Hunchback IIC with 2 UAC20s and a pair of Large Lasers will be? (Yeah, Clan ER Med, but basically the same stat line as an IS large but less heat).

That's a mech that can put out 80 damage instantly with it's autocannons, more if they don't both immediately jam. To make things worse those things have the range of an AC/10.

EDIT:

I would hope for at least 1 Omni of each class to begin with.

My guesses would be:

Light:
Adder or Kit Fox

Medium:
Nova or Stormcrow

Heavy
Almost certainly Timber Wolf that's the poster child for the Clans.

Assault:
Warhawk or Dire Wolf. But really it could be one of the others.

It would be neat if they avoided humanoids.

Come to think of it, it would be pretty unusual to see any of the IIC designs with the invasion force.

The IIC are second line and garrison units, the invasion forces are the best warriors and machines available and that means Omnis. Not that the IIC designs aren't completely sick in their own ways, but they're not front line elite machines.

I imagine we won't be facing them until later, obviously actually, however... this is the month they're speculated to begin dropping news bombs.... damn comstar what with their HPG ' not functioning properly ' and what not... Not functioning my tushie...

( I say that because this is the month the clans push into the IS, as opposed to periphery.. see Clan Wolfs invasion corridor for more info, comstar can only keep secrets for so long! )

It's sad but true, every person I try to get into Mechwarrior Online always says "What mech is that one from Mechwarrior 2, you know the one with the backwards legs, and the missile launchers on the Shoulders and 2 arms with lasors, I want to play that one!"

And to which I always reply, you can play a Catapult or a even a Stalker...

I really really really hope they add the Timberwolf so that I can show people THIS IS THE MECH you say you want so bad
