I'd also like to know what their titles are. Here's the Wikipedia list of Battletech novels to help you:

The Warrior Trilogy got me started, and is still one of the best, but I think "Prince of Havoc" takes the cake. The scene where Victor beheads Lincoln Osis comes close to making me cry every time I read it.

Right certain now the ice sculpture one is imminent crisis as i did read it about 5-6 ago with other civil war stuff.

The other i think is initiation to war but must have been 10 years since i read it.

Really need to buy the books myself as when i ask to borrow them from my brother i get whatever he can find at the time, so usually about 1/2-2/3 civil war stuff

The Blood of Kerensky Triology, because I like the Wolves and Stackpole writes good novels sometimes (I won't mention the boring ones)

OOooooh, tough one. The Blood of Kerensky series got me hooked on Battletech (and were an excellent intro after MW2) and I like them but there are some that top them IMO.

Personally I love Wolves on the Border, plus all books from Victor Milan about Camacho's Caballeros. Well written and it takes guts to pick a strong female main character for books in a universe with lots of young male fans.

And I do not believe Stackpole used lasers with recoil in his stories. He's rather meticulous when writing stuff in a certain universe.

Probably came from Star Lord or something.......

I'll defend Star Lord, it feels like someone's rpg campaign:

GM: Ok, so what characters have you guys created?
Player 1: I'm a disgraced ex-Marik regular merc.
Player 2: I'm an ex-FedCom mechwarrior looking for revenge.
Player 3: I'm a swashbuckling gambler.
GM: Ok, all that sounds reasonable. What about you two?
Player 4: Knight of the Inner Sphere
Player 5: Trueborn Clan Warrior
GM: *sigh* I'll think something up...

Thanks, I'll try to look into "Initiation to War". Premise seems interesting!

Lol okay that's something I could probably relate to given how much I enjoy RPGs. I'll look up "Star Lord" as well. Thanks! :D
