1) you want all the main benefits of founders for a fraction of the cost?

2) you want to slap all existing founders in the face by reopening the founders program which was closed. this is not only unfair to them but also unethical on pgi's part since they said they wouldn't reopen founders.

Yeah I can't agree to this...

Faction package deals are fine but leave the "founder's" bit out.

I'll fix it, just for you.

The patterns could always be adjustable, colors and decals. That way you get the battlemech with loyalty point/cbill/<currency> increases and you can customize it [to the Faction of your choice or for your unique merc'corps or lone-wolf style play].

Now I'm interested B)

Changed title to reflect "bundle" instead of "package" because of persons confusing the founders program with this proposed similar sales model.

Changed text on OP to reflect different names for each Tier, so Founders would remain completely unique.

I voted Yes on the overall proposal and depends on whether I'd purchase or not.

I don't know if I'd purchase a faction specific due to limiting myself to them. However it also depends on the mechs offered. I imagine it'd be 1 of each weight class and a variant that responds to a specific faction. For instance the Free Worlds League mechs could be:

Assault - Atlas AS7-K
Heavy - Orion ON1-V
Medium - Centurion CN9-A
Light - Spider SDR-5V

And the Federated Suns could be:

Assault - Highlander HGN-732
Heavy - Cataphract CTF-3D
Medium - Trebcuhet TBT-7M
Light - Jenner JR7-D

Note: The above are just examples

Now for the Clans I do enjoy their mechs but not their lore/fluff. Particularly I am favorable to the Mad Dog/Vulture chassis. So I do not know whether I'd actually buy the package or not. But I still think that these are solid business/economic proposals that are generally well received by the community.

I'm down with doing a new "Founders"-style package for the Clans.

Would be neat to have different battlemechs, specifically lore-correct ones per faction. However, I don't think that's a realistic goal sadly. It would probably create unrest.

We can always hope PGI wouldn't listen to such stupidity. Faction equality is one place we don't need equality. There needs to be unique and special things in each.

i wouldn't buy any of this, simply because i bought a founder's package under certian conditions from back then, but then those conditions got changed by PGI. For example: they said being a pilot in 1st person vision mode would be ONE OF THE PILLARS of this game.
Now they are going to implement 3rd person and give a **** about what they said earlier. I can't take it for granted now, that CW will be what it is when it begins or even what it is 'supposed' to be (once they actually give us information about it at all - which they probably aren't doing because they know they talked ******** with their design pillar blabla and now changing it is nothing but a pure lie to the founder's and everyone else)

well if i can recall the new Mechwarrior Game was going to be a reboot of the frachise that took place on a little planet in Davion space(3025 era) with a singel player campein and some leveling abilities. so that being said alot has changed and will continue to change, its up to us to help the developers figure out what would be profitable for them and fun for us. i personaly enjoy First person (i plaed it that way evresens i first played mechwarrior in the 80s) but one of my frinds gets really sick if he plays any FPS. so he canty play MWO at this time but if they put in a third person view he would be able to play.( has some thing to do with having a static point in the center of his veiw. )

kind of true, with the exception, that everyone was completly aware, that this was going to be a multiplayer game, when the founder's packs were sold

You sir are referring to Paul I's post regarding 3pV way back in the day. As far as founders goes, the link about the founders program has nothing to do, and states nothing regarding views. I'll find the link for you, and update this post with it on this comment.

I went back and watched all of the videos, one in specific talked about pillars of the game...VIEW was not mentioned.

i remember reading it. And it was not a post, it was on the homepage itself when you read arround about the game, which i did before i bought the founder's package. I don't want to drift this thread away to another "me no like 3rd person" - "but i do" thread. All i am saying is, whith all the changes going arround, personally, wouldn't buy another package to show my support. I would wait until the game is more or less finished - leaves open beta. Yes, i mentioned only this change, but there are more.
They also said, there won't be no cooland flush ever in this game, now log in and look what we have.
Still not saying, this is bad, but i'd like to know what i support before i do it. The founder's program was my first time participating in something like this and will probably be the last time for me, for the same reasons i super rarely prepurchase games anymore. Most games just turn out to not be what was promised.
I won't judge anyone who still wants to buy packages or prepurchases games.

They played it up as being their core intent...

MechWarrior Online is, and will always be, a game focused on 1st person combat in Mechs. That experience is sacrosanct to the classic Mechwarrior experience.

...of course this was also in context of "But we're 'looking into' third person anyway," which then later turned into "grab your ankles, you're getting third person so all you trolls who came out in force against 3pv can help us do it in as inoffensively as possible, or suck it."

All founders mechs, past and future should have a GXP bonus when you take off limbs etc

It would make them more attractive to use.

I like that. Beyond having the benefit of cbills or loyaltypoints, also a GXP bonus.

I would buy the legendary package and possibly a faction package, I do support this .. HOWEVER not ot cross-troll or anything, but it really depends on what happens with community warfare, If they intend on chargeing us for preimium time <which I already have but is beside the point> AND establishing our units then I absolutely will NOT do another micro-transaction with PGI.
I have put about 400$ into this game already and if it requires me to pay to play with my friends then it becomes a "subscription" game in my eyes and I feel if I subscribe then I should get a "complete" game, not simply a better framework...

oh and I want film grain toggle, headaches make me grumpy.

so to close, 400$ + 60 + 60 = 520$ and thats too much already. I could buy a new PS4 with that.
but I would spend that if it meant i didnt have to spend even more.
Oh and Clan Ghost Bear + Kurita offends me... CGB and FRR sure.. but they shouldnt mix canon being as they are going to laughably attempt to follow it

I can see how spending so much would leave you wondering why you didn't buy a PS4. I've, to date...purchased two legendary founders accounts and spent over 200$ on each legendary account with adding MC for various things. I've spent over $640 so far and I intend on spending more
