I think it's a necessity these days.

In Germany, recently a judge decided that access to the Internet is a necessity. Which is no surprise. If you're unemployed and searching for a job, a lot of job offers (including those offered via employment centers) are available only via online sites, and may even require online applications.

I still don't mind the hero mech prices, though I can definitely agree that they're really, really high unless you're comparing them to WoT's gold tanks which are literally only good for farming credits.

However, I can't even try to justify charging five dollars(or a seven dollar MC purchase) to unlock a single shade of paint >_>

Maybe if you got every shade of paint...but honestly, paint color should be free and we should get a full color wheel. Camo, on the other hand...there should be lots and lots of that and it'd probably be okay for them to charge...250-500MC for the unlimited use version of each. Definitely not 750-1250, or whatever the prices are right now >_>

It's not just the shade of paint, especially with the camo patterns. From what little I understand of this playing around with graphics programs like Poser, they not only have to design a camo pattern but a differently shaped "skin" for each different model of mech. That involves development costs that have to be recouped, and not just for the most popular mechs. What's the mass demand for a tiger-camo pattern for a Cicada? Yet if players saw one mech model getting preferential treatment the fecal matter would hit the rotary impeller.

People are stupid enough to pay the prices that they are charging....why would they lower them?
