I couldn't find the answer to that.

Are we limited to master only one variant per chassis ? Or is this a bug that I can't Master two variant ?

If it is alimitation, can we "unlearn" a variant to master a different one ?

You can master as many variants as you'd like.

Hi Kolia,

Here is some info that may help (or may be stuff you already know), but here goes.

If you are a F2P member and only have 4 Mech bays, you will be limited to what you can do at first. You may want to invest $15 into the game after you have played for a while and are enjoying it so that you can buy more mech bays and support the game.

The route to master is as follows (I will use the Hunchback 4SP as an example):
You will need to purchase and complete 8/8 basic skills with 3 different variants of the mech (ie: 4SP, 4P and 4G).
Since this is your first set of mechs, it would be suggested that you then complete Elite 4/4 with these 3 mechs. This will unlock master for the medium mech class (will explain this more later).
You can now delete the 4G and the 4P to free up mech bays for other mechs and you can continue gaining XP to master the 4SP.

Now lets say you want to Master a commando 2d. You would have to do the exact same process as above since this is the first light mech that you are working on. However, if you choose to level a Centurion or a Trebuchet, it would be a little easier. You would still need to purchase and level 3 Cents or Trebs to 8/8 basic, but that is all. You could then delete the ones you didnt want and you are clear to run straight to master since it is the same weight class as your Hunch.

The advantage to having the Elite 4/4 is that you get 2x basic bonuses for that chasis (so instead of 7.5% or 10% increases they go up to 15% and 20%).

Also important to note is that even if you delete a mech, the skills that you previously learned will be retained and if you ever buy the chasis back again, it will be exactly where you left off. Also important, is that if you played any trial mechs, the XP you earned is saved on the chasis if you ever purchase it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply.

I have 3 Catapult, all Elite and after selecting the master unlock on one, I'm unable to unlock it on the others. I'll try to get a screen grab.

Do you have enough experience points for the other two variants?

If you completed elite on all 3, then when you open the Pilot XP area and look at your catapults the mech icons should be gold and they should say Master 0/1 or 1/1 if you spent the 21,500 XP needed to complete the master and unlock the extra module.

Yes, a screen shot would help.

Will check back later to see if you got a screen shot, and if anyone answered.
