I took 14 games won by kills and calculated the average damage done for the winning team. I ended up on 2724 damage average. That means about 340 damage per mech.

So 500 is in the high side for a light mech. Especially considering that you're not supposed to be a main damage source. I would say 500 every once in a while is already pretty high. Which makes 500 damage on average very high. I'm guessing I do around 600 damage average in my assaults and around 1000 in a good match. So yeah, 500 in a light mech is very high. I'm curious what you would score in 8 man drops..

Despite your attempt to conceal the fact that you're bragging around, 500+ is pretty good. Generally my Spider 5D get's 300+ damage per match, but it's not impossible to go over 700 with some luck (and good aim).

If your a Commando Pilot and your doing 500+......brag baby brag. The Mighty Might Force has long arms to pat ourselves on the back for being such an awesome mech. Commando Love!!! :) ;)

I can get up to almost 700 damage with my spider 5D, using mainly my PPC.

I find it hard to belive that you land 70 ppc hits in a drop tbh
without drawing huge attention from the lightning effect from the ppc and get stomped out since youre only riding a spider those are pretty easy to kill

Sometimes I think that myself but a PPC would be harder to trace back to me vs a LL, or ERLL. If I'm being shot in my direction I just move places, I do have ecm equipped but I use it more to get in positions without being noticed or provide my group for cover if their moving. Getting high damage happens sometimes, if people ignore me then they'll regret it.

Just another quick question now that I've finished the Elite grind: how does pinpoint weapon convergence effect missiles? A tighter spread?

I believe pinpoint affects all weapon aiming, but has no effect on missile spread. TAG, oddly enough, helps with ssrm spread, and will allow you to primarily hit the ct.

im not sure where to start. the 2d was one of my favorite mechs well before ECM came out. I dont hang back and try to pop kills. im out front all the time, most games i see somewhere in the 600 dmg neighborhood unless i get greedy. by greedy i mean chasing a light into his clump of teammates. I prefer the commando to other lights.

the way i play is in the first bit of the round i try to locate the bulk of enemy mechs without engaging. once my team has an idea of where their main group of enemies are i cycle back to my largest group and range a bit. as soon as i see an enemy light im on them like white on rice. in a good game i can take 2-3 lights while harassing the crap outta other mechs and in others i get whacked early, its east to get overconfident. big dmg isnt necessarily important but, i will stop and pepper another larger mech just to get him to turn and sow some confusion. i run 3 srm2 and a small laser on my 2d with 1.9 heat efficiency. i dont overheat, anywhere. im very light on armor but thats why i try to stay at my max 149.7 as much as possible. ive had games where i did over 800 dmg and 5 kills. keep moving and keep hitting anyone thats in your sights. any dmg you put on an enemy frame is that much less your teamate has to do to put him down and live.

Update: im rather annoyed i took a screenshot of my last game and i cant get it to paste to paint. 6 kills and ~700 dmg. once i figure this screenshot nonsense out i will post something concrete
