Why u dont like playing dress up with big stompy robots?

Also in a QanA they said hero color customization is coming. I would assume it is coming to founders as well

You can only see camos up close anyway. After 2 to 300 meters you can't see the colors on the mechs anyway. Besides you do get to see your cool camo... after you are destoyed. As you go through the circle of death you no that at least you looked cool in your 3 shades of color camo.

Getting an awesome paint job makes you a bigger target. I usually want to kill those guys first, and the logic is simple also; you think your mech is good enough to warrant a paint job so you must know how to play it. Is that the case always? I don't know, but I like to shoot first and ask questions later.

I dunno. I have some Camo and some Phanken, but a lot of my mechs are simple solid colors. Even before owning colors, when most new mechs were solid green, I seem to attract fire no matter what I do.

The biggest thing holding me back from using more than my standard PC Gamer Black/Porphyro/Tourmaline paint job is the color filters on so many of the maps. You can barely tell something is painted on Caustic, and all the maps that require Heat mode to see (River City Night, Frozen City Day) basically negate paint jobs entirely. Even Forest Colony (the rainy one) lacks clear enough colors to make painting your mech really stand out. There are maps that are great for paint, though, like Alpine, Frozen City Night, and Forest Colony Snow. I'd love to see the other maps cleaned up visually to make colors actually matter.

I like paints. I don't like camo.

I don't know why.

This is true a good amount of the time. I'm only a ok pilot, but my paint jobs seem to attract more attention then default greenies..

I also will target painted mechs first, assuming that they are more dangerous.

I count on this :)

I bought about a million Cbills worth of paint for my Centurion about a month ago and when they reset the camo I lost all that money.

Somewhere it was hinted that there would be a refund but I've yet to see it.

You didn't get the C-Bills back? If you're sure you didn't you can send an email to support.

It's not true that you cannot see it... so long as your in a mech like a dragon :)

You can see them ofcourse in your mechbay, and saying you feel like you would need to see it in order to appreciate it is almost like saying you need to carry a mirror around and check how you look every 5 minutes. How much the almost is... is debatable.

Paints and camo's can also be used for lances, regiments, battalions, which if your part of a group, your groupmates could very well have the same scheme with the same mech as you :)

There's also the idea of a commander's mech. A true commander would want to stand out, and not hide behind his men. Doing so doesnt inspire alot of loyalty.

I want racing stripes for my Dragon.

Dazzle is not the same thing.

That being said I DO paint my stuff. Providing I keep it under 100MC. The prices for the painting are just insane, it's cheaper to buy most of the mechs with MC in the game than it is to buy paint schemes for them!

It's a pity that the colors look different ingame. In the mechlab, i have a bright shiny orange or white, and in game there are only dull colors.

Give me that brilliant, glossy, "shoot-me" pink and let my shine on the 'field! :)

There's no need to camo a big walking robot, we see them anyway...

On the battlefield, it's all about being so FABULOUS that you out-dazzle your opponents:

Agreed, I want Warhammer 40k instead of Call of Duty browns.
