But it has missile hardpoints, man. MISSILE hardpoints. This fact alone makes it better than every single other CDA out there.

Yea, they really could have hit a home run in terms of a decent hero mech if they had added either ECM or JJ's. The X-5 will not be the Slayer of 3L's. Hell, a jenner is a better pick at this point, being that it's faster, has jj's and can have the same loadout. The ONLY thing this new hero mech brings to the table is a very slight variant to the incredibly small loyal following Cicada's have. What a waste.

Unfortunately, that's not saying much at all.

Thank you for reading my mind!

.. why would I get one for anything other than increased backward run speed, 30% increased C-Bill action and a sexy hardpoint layout? Those are some pretty wonderful things... but seeing as you're in a Jenner JR7-D without JJs and the Raven 3L is still going to make you look like a pile of junk without your mates.

I think the real question is do you make more C-Bills losing in that thing or winning in one that mops the floor.
(don't get me wrong good medium pilots are out there and make ghetto rides look amazing, but something tells me state rewind isn't going to make this 'mech wonderful, and if it did... that scares me thinking of other 'mechs)

It might be th ebest Cicada, but it is not a match for light mechs that can do better in all areas.

Good thing it's not a light mech then.
