What is your favorite ridiculous mech build? My personal favorite is the twin PPC raven 4X. I want to hear all about your crazy, impractical builds.

I did this one for quite a while, and then I gave in to the medium lasers. I also did the same thing on my 4SP for a while, both are really fun.

Edit: Rumor has it that is possible (not plausible) to put double Gauss on a Cicada -- must investigate!

I can't think of any others, atm.

Flavor of the month seems to be the splat cat 6SRM 6s. A1 catapult comin back. You usually dont see them till the end of a match cause they sorta hang back and wait for their team to do most of the work before mopping up. No hate there though guess its a semi valid tactic.

I was just about to say that. I just tried it in the mechlab I have and it doesn't work. You can do 5 ERPPCS though.

AC5 and Ac2 are better than an AC20 if you have the hard points for it...higher DPS at about 7, less crit slots, and MUCH more range than an AC20. Granted, it does require about 3-4 tons of ammo to get by.

I like my 4x Cataphract. 2 uac5s 2 ac2s Endosteel the biggest standart engine I could stick in it, FF, and DH I manage full armor and enough ammo to kill 3-4 mechs (I would carry more but you only have so many critical slots lol), but you can't afford to miss, or shoot at non vital parts... I'm sure Murometz can do it better with 3 uac5/s but I am not buying that thing!

I actually run a 3x Lg Laser 4p, that isn't ridiculous in the least

My 2 PPC Cicada is a little ridiculous.
