That's fine they all had the exact same questions/answers anyway

Some of them had different questions; even if they remove the threads, the polls should remain...unless they are afraid for people to see the results.

Also, there was NO reason whatsoever to remove the poll from the main thread.

There is more lost with the thread mergers. Nothing has been accomplished here.

This, every time there's a thread merger posts and data is lost

But yes modstaff, nice work assisting the terminally uninformed in staying that way

Do you think that a threadnought that grows a page every few minutes will enable a proper discussion? Will it enable people to check back and find a specific post/piece of information? Will it cool the temper of raging forumwarriors?

I ain't so sure mate...

Sorry but there wasn't much of a proper discussion to be had in the first place. The problem is more or less the same wether there are hundred threads or a thread with hundred pages.

I know you mean a private conversation between two persons being more difficult but that's what the forum gods gave us quote functions and PMs for. Barking more or less the same agruments back and forth repeatedly might be fun to watch at times but isn't a discussion and in many cases would better be done in PMs anyways.

And regarding the polls:

Most polls in this forum are useless crap anyhow. So who the **** cares if they're gone or not.

Compliments to the mods for failing to do this for 3L, AC/2, Gauss, Streaks, etc. but managing to do this for the one game breaking thing, you mean?

Get off your high horse gentlemen. I get that this is a grand opportunity for you to remind the rest of the world how cool, calm, and collected you are via an impressive show of geeky moderator worship, but this is an important issue that people should be allowed to be vocal about.

I guess we have to agree to disagree here. This is leading nowhere (except towards the OT section ^^).
