how about you actually -read- the post, nowhere in it does it mention MC only consumables, there are MC AND c-bill consumables of each value, it is quite clear that the identical values are available for both forms of currency.

"Eeesh. Saw some numbers people were throwing around and this needs clarification now....

CB Coolant Flush Tier 1 = 15% cooling of TOTAL heat on your Mech.
CB Coolant Flush Tier 2 = 20% cooling of TOTAL heat on your Mech.
TOTAL cooling of your Mech is 35%.

MC Coolant Flush = 35% cooling of TOTAL heat on your Mech.

Look at it this way, you get the SAME TOTAL heat dissipation on BOTH purchase methods. The C-bill one gives you the opportunity to dump twice in 1 match at the cost of a module slot. "

It takes 2 module slots to achieve the same statistical value of 1 MC slot.

If you're still confused about how this is unfair:

1 MC cooldown leaves room for 2 other offensive items (assuming you can take an airstrike AND artillery at the same time)

2 Cbill modules leaves you room for 1 other offensive item. Leaving you at a disadvantage module wise.

Simplest solution?

Make ALL consumables purchasable with MC and Cbills

T1 - 100 MC - 250,000 Cbills

T2 - 250 MC - 500,000 Cbills

T3 - 500 MC - 1,000,000 Cbills

Effectively this model is P2NotGrind. This leaves players who want to use T3 equipment at the disadvantage of having to grind out a few matches for it.

Imagine if, instead of having thousands of rallies in support of the Civil Right Movement, there was just one. Quantity is also an indicator of how much people care.

Drawing attention to a horrible horrible idea in a robot video game doesn't quite qualify as refusing to move to the back of the bus.

And I'm not sure if your idea is terrible or brilliant.

But different tiered consumables is so bad I can't believe it was even discussed, let alone about to be implemented.

Sign me up for the $99 Tier.

That's gonna be a boring movie though (unless the dev forgets the camera is there and starts browsing **** halfway through).

They will read it and go: "But the 3L and the DDC have 4 module slots therefore BALANCED!"

I think I've officially spent enough on this game for now. And I wanted Fuzzy Dice too. Would have even bought a Garthmobile. Not now, this issue is too stupid to let slide even for fuzzy dice. At least I got enough play value out of it to justify what I've spent so far. Not wasted monies but possibly the last monies. I won't burn any MC I have left on anything even if it's still lost cash that they already have. IDE really want to play anymore till I see how this issue plays out.

Remove the MC consumables, or make the MC consumables available at a reasonable c-bill price and I'll find a way to throw money at the game. Keeping them means I will never pay another cent. Merely reading a complaint thread will accomplish exactly nothing.

Granted, my total purchase history is about $13.90 in two separate purchases and was promptly spent on mechs I no longer own and exp conversion, but hey.

I finally burned my founder's MC on... well, mostly useless crap that I don't use. I was just about ready to put some more down to renew premium and buy more useless crap.. but now, I'm not so sure.

I'll be in for 99.95 if they reconsider this latest braindead P2W idea. Video of a dev reading that whole tragic thread gets you can extra 49.95.

....

That would be pay 2 win and even worse than what they currently have planned bravo.

We're over $1000 pledged!

Unlike PBS pledge drives, I have no mugs or handbags or CDs to offer you. But maybe PGI will release some merchandise soon?

How about I make a video of ME reading that thread and you donate the money to me?

I'll put it to good use, I promise!

I think you mistake everything as pay to win now.

Not really. His point was that 0X2A's suggestion was way overbloated on the C-bill side to make it functional.

If they implement it as 0X2A suggested, I would have to grind for 7-10 games without consumables to get the 1m C-Bills to buy a single T3 consumable. If you price the c-bill cost so high that a free player can't afford to run the consumable every game, then the people who pay real money are the only ones who can afford to get the power boost every match. (thus P2W)

Granted, their current idea is also P2W, but 0X2A's idea wasn't much of an improvement. (at least with the numbers he posted. If it was tweaked down to something more reasonable, like 50k c-bills or the equivalent in MC for the t3 consumable, it'd be fine)

See, I made a thread about how they said they'd never implement coolant flush due to imbalance reasons and after 25 likes it got deleted.

I highly doubt PGI will be good on their word(since they haven't done that on any claim so far, I'm still expecting 3rd person to pop up in monthly preview) and actually read the whole thread, after accepting money.

Just set up a camera in their office looking at their screen, and have them hit record every time they sit down to read some more of it.

Just like the Real World! They can sit there, read the comments then react and reply to the camera!

Sorry, the money would actually go to your publisher who would spend some on expensive "working lunches" at hipster cafes and then give the rest to some other dude making videos of himself reading threads about another game.
