Ok, i'm gonna be hated:
Today i was matched with a premade of legendary founders all playing 3L. So i go:
"Seriously, a premade of 3L?"

One of them goes "and so ********, l2p"
An other guy of my team says" hey they are in our team so its cool!"

I try to explain them that it's not fun for the oppposite team (who has been crushed in 2 minutes) and i find that an abuse of a"cheese build"

Then i get flamed, and about the end of the game one of the 3L started to shoot at me.
Just sad in my opinion...

I go against the trend and bring my Jenner every chance I get. Not that I have much of a K/D ratio to keep up though...

you realize come after the patch the 3L's lifespan becomes much much smaller.. They were prolly out getting thier last trolling in before they have to sell them for other cheez mechs..

We faced such an opponent once. They were met with a withering barrage of TAG, PPC, and LRM fire.

It was on Alpine Peaks and it was GLORIOUS!

Last 3L gang we went up against died in a hail of AC fire. 10x AC/5's will do that.

If there is such a massive imbalance that it's an issue if people plays multiple mechs of the same type, then that is a developer problem, not a problem with the players.

I don't know if they broke their keyboards or screens. But, they most certainly "complained".

Had I known my founders jenner would become useless shortly after beta started I wouldn't have spent any money on this game, well played PGI.

You'r kinda right, but "smart" people will not abuse that issue.
So that is a developer problem, and problem of players.

Anyway, that would not end soon, but at least those people could admitt they abuse the cheese build and be honest with themselves...

Matches where I take mine follow 2 basic paths:
I get rolled by Raven(s)
There are no Ravens, and I spend the match shooting out the backsides of assault mechs, which really isn't very challenging most times.

On the one hand I get to be credit to team, but it's not very challenging. On the other I get rolled without much chance to save myself apart from fleeing constantly (and then I still typically die because my teammates can't kill a Raven before he kills me with streaks).

It gets worse when I try and bring a Jenner in a group, usually I end up facing minimum 2 Ravens every single match, typically on VOIP with eachother.

Do you know what seems to work against a Raven 3L? A Spider 5D with 8JJs, ECM, PPC, and TAG.

I just took my spider out for several spins today and bagged a number of those birds, and an Atlas D-DC to boot trying to defend his base!
