Whomever in the art / logo department needs to go to a zoo and aquarium respectively. Someone watching the opening sequence mentioned it to me..what could I say other than "it's not my company, i know the difference between the two"

It might just be me, but the bull skull on their logo might symbolizes what the Piranha does. They chew through meat super quickly.

It's that whole myth/thing about piranhas being able to skeletonize a cow in "less than a minute".

I wish mythbusters would test this one.

I have wondered about the bull skull as well, but this makes sense. Piranha aftermath.

This is dumb...theoretically, they could do this to ANY animal..why not a giraffe, or rhino, or human skeleton?

that's really going out on a limb assuming people would get that kind of reference...it's pretty vague.

@ Butane...Jeremy Wade kicks ***.

It couldn't possibly because they wanted a scaling logo that wouldn't look like a Pepperidge Farms Goldfish when small, and still have at least something to do with the name of the company, even if it's mythical. I mean it's not like companies use mythical creatures for their logos. ohno!

Maybe it depends on where you're from? Because it's a story I've heard since childhood, not at all obscure to me.

Also, piranha are South American. Giraffes exclusively African, while rhinos are African and Asian.

<-- was bothered once, (literally "on one occasion", not "once upon a length of time"), elected to let it pass.
