Well, its CTF-3D

I don't think my build is any close to optimal, but compared to K2 cata its fanastic!

stock XL280
ES, DHS
400 armor
Gauss x2
MPL in right arm
SL's in LT & RT
8t ammo
0 external heatsinks
1 JJ

What can i say? Compared to K2, we have here:
1) JJ. Flying dual gauss of doom.
2) Good armor with good maneurability.
3) One gauss in a fully articulated arm for some dragon-style browling.
4) One MPL in a fully articulated arm.

Are you still complaining against gausspults? We are flying to you.

I think the variant with the ballistics in each arm also has a smaller engine limitation, so that helps to balance out some builds and helps to force that variation into a support role opposed to a brawler (still might try out dual LBX10s, though).

I'm having a lot of fun loading up and exploring different builds! So much so I've barely had enough time to hate my head hit box!

Forgetting about the huge hitbox mess that the Cataphract's head is currently, they also have much larger side torsos than a Catapult, meaning the XL will be easier to shoot out.

I didn't even think about that..... I mean the machine does have a fair bit of armor and can pack some serious fire power, however, so a smart pilot won't try to simply out damage a cataphract (though damage speed wars are generally always a bad idea. I mean it's like people forget we don't fight standing still on a sheet of glass)

Pretty good.

Although, if you have the accuracy and don't waste gauss ammunition

5 tons of ammo
4xMlas

Is an upgrade.

I prefer 2 PPC's in the torso as the ability to peek out and get both shots within a hairbreadth of each other is awesome, if you can see it, you can shoot it.
