Devs and Mods: There is a lot of confusion going around right now about what exactly you meant when you said "The C-Bill Purchased Coolant Flush will allow a player to trigger a coolant flush twice during a match."

Now, I think you make it very clear at the bottom of the post what you mean: You say: "The C-Bill version of coolant flushes will allow 2 uses during a match. (One cools 15%, the other cools 20%)." It seems that whatyou mean is that each individuality module can be flushed once, but since you can buy both of them, you can get two flushes (that add up to 35%).

However, there is still a lot of confusion, and even in the official feedback thread, you have people giving you their opinion which is shaped by their incorrect understanding of how this works: They are fine with the idea because they believe that each individual module can be flushed twice, giving the C-Bill version twice the effectiveness of the MC version.

Please clarify. Tell us, in a visible and absolutely clear manner, how many times you can flush each individual module. Anything else just smacks of using unclear wording to gain favorable feedback based on an incorrect understanding of the situation. Sorry, I just get worked up...

EDIT: Dev response below! Thank you so much, Bryan! I really appreciate it.

It's as clear as it's going to get.

You can run a Tier 1 & Tier 2 together and use each a single time for a total of 35% cooling.

- OR -

You can run a single Tier 3 and use it once for 35% cooling. This option leaves you a second module slot open over the first option.

I know that it's clear. The problem is that misunderstanding is still going extremely strongly due to poor wording in the initial post, and I want someone "official" to come in and say it in clear, unambiguous words in a clearly visible place.

It IS unambiguous. Some people just can't read above a 1st grade level, so dem big words is herd.

Small Coolant Flush
  • 1 module slot.
  • 1 use per match.
  • Consumed when used.
  • 15% of total heat sink efficiency is cooled when used.
  • 5,000 CB per use.
  • Only one can be equipped.

Medium Coolant Flush
  • 1 module slot.
  • 1 use per match.
  • Consumed when used.
  • 20% of total heat sink efficiency is cooled when used.
  • 7,500 CB per use.
  • Only one can be equipped.
Large Coolant Flush
  • 1 module slot.
  • 1 use per match.
  • Consumed when used.
  • 35% of total heat sink efficiency is cooled when used.
  • 25 per use.
  • Only one can be equipped.
  • Can't be equipped if Small or Medium Cooling flush are currently equipped.
We're still tuning the details, but this is currently in test. Paul is updating the CC post and will added the Arty/Air Strike details.

who cares about flush its the whole concept that is flawed, the more modules that are released the more P2W it becomes

more slots for actives and more slots for passives means spending MC simple.

the more passives and actives released the more P2W it becomes especially ones that can actually do damage.

P2W thus established destroys all esports potential

alienate and divide core fanbase complete

Uh Bryan I think you meant to say 20% in the medium flush. Don't want the ragers to cling to even the smallest typo.

Lol np, I still love you guys. Also, those prices are about half of what I predicted so I'm actually kinda excited about that. I could easily afford to take the medium each match instead of target decay I suppose in my Jenner as an emergency AH DAMN YOU RAVEN DIE button.

Depends on the package. 10 cents on the low end. Me personally, I prefer the strategy of having two shots over 1. I'm willing to sacrifice the space to gain a bit more of a tactical advantage.

No. Arty and Air Strikes work differently.

Paul is going to post the details shortly.

Here's some highlights.
  • There are cooldown timers. Cooldown timers make sure there is a space between shots and prevents a team coordinating a single massive strike.
  • CB Version does more damage but is slower to target. 10,000 CB
  • Version does less damage but is faster to target. 25
  • Only one of each can be equipped.
  • Only one user per match.
  • Consumed when used.

Still unsatisfactory.

The C-bill prices are acceptable, but MC only for an in-combat advantage gives me heartburn.

Isn't this the sort of thing that R&R was pulled over?

So it looks like the difference really does come down to a 15% increase for MC users.
If you want to use coolant, but only want to use up one module slot, use a Medium Coolant Flush...

Hardly a Pay 2 Win situation if you ask me...

Please consider shelving coolant or making it apply to single heatsink only AND both options provide the same cooling/module setup. Hell, make it 3 sizes for both cbill/mc if you want so people can choose.

DHS mechs don't need this, they are already potent enough. 120 damage from 6 PPC Stalker in 2 alphas now becomes 180 damage from 6 PPC stalker in 3 alphas before shutdown. You run an atlas? Get ready to be cored in 10 seconds.
