For me its always a Steelseries Merc Stealth. I have been useing them for meny years since the Merc series keyboards. They allow programable keys and etc like most gamming keyboards but they are set out to actually have kays just for gaming. Im not talking about 6 programable extra keys but 34. The LED colours are pretty but useless and it is the difference between the Merc and Merc Steath.

The keyboard has a gamming side to it with a dedicated WASD area that feels so good after the initial getting used to phase. The only issue i ever have with it is when games use "Z" or "X" keys in their layouts as these two are not in the WADS area so i just reconfigure the keys in game to suit.

Seriously have a look at it, they are relitivly cheap compared to the direct competition and they come out on top in so meny ways. Its just that they are NOT the massive big budget advertising entitys of Logitec or Razor.

GREAT KEYBOARD! I have had one for almost 3 years now. Been using it for MWLL and MWO, love it! The gaming side is a wonder, and I do not think I could ever go back to using a std keyboard for gaming ever.

Also, the G700, recomend that one as well. Same length of time being used and it is reliable and a great mouse. Most of the Ghost Bear command staff use one as well. Good mouse!

Ive been using a razer naga for a year now, plenty of buttons.

And as of last week I just picked up a razer nostromo

This is more or less my setup. I use the Razer Naga as my mouse and mine has three pinky side options that attach magnetically so you can use the one that feels best in your hand. 12 thumb buttons is really handy for various MMO RPGs and even things like Skyrim. In MWO I use it for various weapon groups and vision modes. I can even hold down one button (TAG) while striking a different button (LRMs) and leave my two main mouse buttons for things like weapons in the arms.

Razer also have a new version the Orbweaver with more buttons an improved joystick and a more adjustable arm rest. http://www.razerzone...razer-orbweaver

Damn them! I love my Nostromo, but this looks even more comfortable. I'd really have to go to a store and try it out though to see how well it fits my hand. They sure know how to take money out of my pocket.

Most of my friends swear by the mechanical versions of Razor Keyboards especially the back-lit ones.

g300 is a good fit for this game. for 40$ normally, 3 profiles stored on the mouse memory lets you keep one customized just for mech piloting, not to mention 4 side buttons means you have a button for every weapon group on one hand, without compromising your grip. it's also ambidextrous for you lefties.

a little over 4 1/2" long, a little over 2" wide on the main grip point, and 1 3/8" high at the apex which is located 1 1/2" from the rear of the mouse, a little larger than your standard dell mouse it easily fits a finger tip or claw grip on medium to medium-large hands with enough surface area to be properly swiped, without ever having to compromise your grip fingers to press buttons, but as always try and find a store with one on showcase to see if the shape is for you. In fact the only real con I have with the mouse is the positioning of the optical sensor, but after getting used to it this fact is no longer an issue regardless of the game I play, although a high sensitivity palm or claw may notice it more.

personally i pilot with my mouse set to 250 dpi. it's a good fit, and if i could use less than 250 i would

I have the G700, and really like it. I also have the G710+ keyboard, which is nice - though I've not yet started to use the customization features.

Actually, I don't use the keyboard at all for Mechwarrior (well, outside of typing during chat). I use the mouse plus a throttle, which is an *amazingly* natural setup. The throttle I have gives you control over turning the legs as well, thanks to a rocker on the top, and provides added buttons which I use for a third weapons group, targeting, vision modes, and more.
